I'm a Giver

One of the reasons AmeriDan donates to the Spina Bifida Assn. is my son, who was born with spina bifida (look it up, way too complicated to explain briefly). AmeriNephew was around 2 or so when AmeriDan came to live with us after our mom died of diabetes. AmeriBro spent a lot of time helping his little nephew learn how to cope and function!

AmeriMom would be extremely proud of AmeriDan. I'm fairly certain of this, as AmeriSis/adopted mom is also very proud of him. Most of the time. :)

AmeriDan might also think about LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., where AmeriNiece is an RN. She works in the recovery room and sometimes helps the kids going in to surgery pick out a toy or something before surgery. She buys boxes and boxes of crayons and coloring books out of her own pocket for these kids also. Most of the nurses at LeBonheur do. The nurses she works with been known to collect enough money to buy new clothes for siblings and help pay for funerals. On more than one occasion, I'm sad to say.

My Sunday School class has adopted the LeBonheur "toy room" to contribute to the "crayon fund." AmeriSis and AmeriNiece would be delighted if AmeriBro wanted to contribute to the Sunday School project once in a while!
