Gone to Glory

I offer my sincere condolences for your loss.

Never Forgetting

him is the greatest tribute.

My own father passed away over 25 years ago and is still remembered and talked about.

Never forget. Never stop fighting.

Audi

Also meant to add, sincere condolences.

Thank you

I am feeling stuck in first gear at present. Kind of tired of everything.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and wishes.

You have my sympathy

So sorry to hear of your loss. If it is any consolation to you, many do not reach adulthood with both parents with them. I lost my father when I was ten years old. The loss of a parent is never easy (I lost my mom 5 years ago at her age 92), but you were blessed to have him for as long as you did, and someday (perhaps not now) that will be a great source of comfort for you.

It is a wonderful thing to have a breadth of memories to draw upon (as I do of my mom)as the pain of loss lessens, and you are able again to remember your dad, and smile.

God Bless.

Audi

So sorry for your loss.
We have missed you.

In Sympathy

AudiR-
I rarely post but have always enjoyed your postings on Townhall. I noticed you hadn't been around a while. Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your father.

Eternal rest grant unto him, o Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the divine assistance remain always with us and may the souls of all the Faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Bless you

Mrs. Paddy and Grace and Sunthe1 and all who wish me well at this difficult time. You are right Mrs. Paddy, I am very fortunate to have had Daddy with us as long as we did (he was nearly 88 when he passed away). Mama and Daddy were very young when they married and had children, and they stayed together his whole life long -- and neither of these is common anymore. It is a consolation in some ways.

My family's condilences

As one who has long enjoyed your blog and comments, I and my family offer you the most sincere condolences.

If I can offer any solace at all, my experience with my own parents loss shows that time will indeed soften the blow. I often think of my Father and now they are sweet memories as opposed to the initial bitterness of loss.

God bless you and keep you.

Condolences

Audi;

I have been away from the blog for a few weeks, and have missed your post about the loss of your father. As we had corresponded previously, I understand what you have been going through, but no one can go through the loss as you will experience personally. I send my sympathies to you and your family and remember you in my prayers. Hang on to the glorious memories. You have shared many of them with us, and the adventures you experienced growing up. I feel almost as if I knew him too.

Eulogy

Daddy would have been 88 on the 22nd. I will be writing his eulogy that day. Tomorrow I hope to have a tribute to the veterans; with the creature that has now assumed the throne, I daresay we will get more *Ah LOATHE thuh Militurry* type commentary from now on so it behooves us all to remember those who made it possible for us all.

Thank you, Klee, for your kind words. It is only the kindness of people on the internet that helps me to go on.
