Moral moron
If you will notice every single word of this blog is about how much it will cost. That is the only point rwrbtc (right wing radical bible thumping Christians) have. HOW much it with COST! As if that is relevant at all. The United States manufactures money. The United States can pay for anything it wants to do. The Federal Reserve makes sure of that. Need 100 billion for a missle defense, write a check, need a trillion to pay the interest on the debt, fire up the presses. This country is loaded because we make it all up as we go along. Money is never an issue here. The issue is always greed, lazyness, and abysimal ignorance like this dude. Ignorance is ignoring peoples suffering. It doesn't matter how people got that way, overeating, drinkin, smoking, drugs, it is suffering and we as Christians are obligated to relieve it. Feed the poor and clothe the naked, not wonder about how much it's going to cost, read your Bible mister.

judgemental?
Manly Man??? "Every word is about how much it will cost?????" I don't see it.
Last time I checked the federal deficit was in the trillions and climbing. Guess you need to get on the horn to some of those Federal reserve buds of yoursand get them to printing., sheesh!
"Abysmal ignorance?, read the Bible???, obviously you know the author of this blog intimately because, surely, as a Christian, you would not make such a judgement of a total stranger. tsk, tsk
I am going to go ahead and assume, according to the tone of your blog, that you emptied your own personal bank account this week feeding and clothing lazy, free loading malcontents. That's right, isn't it???

Not a judgement and observation
BlackCloud, A moral moron does not know the difference between an observation and a judgement. A judgement's intention is always to harm or seek revenge. An observation is without any intent or agenda attached. Moral morons have no ability to see truth because their judgements cloud everything. I personally have embraced poverty and have cleaned out my bank accounts, in fact I am in debt over 250,000 dollars every penny spent on making this world a better place. I hope to die millions in debt, I embrace it with no judgments. By the way I have excellent credit and can get it anytime I want it. I will never take a vacation, play golf, see a car race, smoke a cigar, drink 25 year old scotch, drive an suv, eat meat, or anything else fat piggy Americans do. I love this country but the citizens are greedy, stupid, ingorant, fat and lazy. In a nice way of course, just an observation.

confused?
MM, you say your comments have no intent or agenda and proceed to resort to name calling(moral moron). You know good and well that coomment is intended(there's your intent) to hurt. If you can't even admit that this discussion is in vain. So at least be honest with yourself.
I didn't think you would address my points in my previous response point to point. As a matter of fact, I got about what I thought I would.
So pass on your millions of dollars of personal debt(which is obviously fabricated) for someone else to pay. Maybe it will be some of those folks you helped out that get stuck with it. Imagine if we all followed your lead and racked up millions of dollars of personal debt each with no ability or intention to repay. First, that is stealing, second it's impossible, third it destroys that which you aver to love.
Dude, how old are you?

First off BC, sticks and stones etc. You're a big boy, get over it. 2nd off, Everybody lies, steals, and cheats. That is the norm here. There use to be some sheep to shear but now there are only predators. This makes the big predators very uncomfortable. A dwindling supply of sheep means the extra beach house has to wait a year or two and the wife can't count on that million dollar birthday party every year. The system is collasping all around and the only ones left are going to be us sheep hiding in the woods. I ain't worried about debt because when the banking system goes nobody will be in debt anymore. Yippy Ki A. PS: Healthy virile Age 57, haven't missed a day of work in 10 years or seen a doctor in 20. No vacations, no sugar, salt, fat. I hug trees too, and get this. I got 2 young wives, yuk, yuk. Elvis lives, viva zapato, olly olly ox in free! I got no money and my life is way better than yours.

Politicians are just being politicians
"So here’s my question. Are these people along with Moore actually claiming that now we should be using Christ as a model for government programs."
For the record, I don't think so. Politicians are just being politicians.
But, the point they are making (and what you seem to miss) is that there are many different notions of Christianity and what it means to be a Christian.
For some, being a Christian means, above all, trying to alleviate the suffering of the less fortunate. For others, it means going to church once a year. For these people, your hot button issues of abortion and gay marriage take second stage to more pressing problems.
You may disagree with them, or even think that they are not real Christians. But, that doesn't matter *they* still think they Christians and so does most of the rest of the country.
