Yeah, Nee

It's always made me wonder, the disconnect between campaign donations to Dems by rich CEO-types and the Dem hatred of "big business". Do those guys just have a suicide wish?

Let'em go under...

This is just capitalisms way of thinning the herd of the weak. It is a hard reality but that's life in a capitalist society. Socialism is never the answer, it's the problem.

Good rant, Nee. New one at my place. Same song different verse.

Further

Nee, I always keep this one handy whenever I hear about "The little guy" and the Dems. (Usually from one of my liberal brothers.)

It's an excellent collection of essays on the connections between big businesses and liberals. Although dated, it is still relevent.

The trouble is that we've allowed government to grow to be so powerful that it can now influence things to such an extent that one business can be favored over another. Without big government taking sides, most of this wouldn't be a problem.
The problem is with Big Brother, not with Big Business!

It's pure cronyism. They haven't a shread of logic when it comes to being promised the gold at the end of the rainbow.
After all, they have to pretend to hate something to hide the practice of being elitists. Which, I might add, is the disconnect. The dems and their constituents hardly lead by example.

That is a great analogy. Of course, any atheist left-minded thinker would call me a Darwinist, capitalist pig. Alas, I truly believe that evolution does lead to survival of the fittest whether we talk money, humans, animals.
Only the strong survive. Is that so wrong?

Agreed. Funny last night some gals were talking and remarked, "If I want to smoke and it kills me, fine. just let me die. I own it. Just let me live my own life, leave my money alone, my refigeratormy sex life(I think she referred to the banning of Adult toy stores in a few cities) All of it."
That's the trouble. In Grapes of Wrath, they had to own their lives. Funny, but it works when tried!

Yeah, I guess it boils down

to "I got mine, f**k you!"
