Line 1 How much money did you earn last year?
Line 2 Send it in.
Can't get much simpler than that. :op

My attempt to backdoor the Flat Tax. I am so tired of playing this game with the IRS every single year. I say, just give me a percentage and I'll pay it. Quit jerking me around!

But Wait - There's a Stragety Here!
John Kennedy and Ronald Reagan increased Federal tax revenues but lowering the top marginal tax rates.
Obama is doing it by making Cabinet appointments. Every time one of his appointees gets caught not paying taxes, he writes a check for what he "overlooked." At the rate he's going, he ought to have the deficit paid off by the middle of August.

The dim-o-crats certainly
need some kind of across the board tax that's paid at the time they spend money. Otherwise, they won't let go of it. Crooks, the lot of them.
I am a happy camper that Tom Daschle is out. I just detest the guy. A mistake on his taxes? Give me a break !!

Simply Hypocrisy
Somehow, Bob`s Nephew, no matter how easy we could make it for the Dims to file their tax returns, they would surely lose the forms or their pencils and call it an honest mistake for not filing! And they would feel bad and be embarrassed, too!

True, a short post BMU, but
your post, plus the comments, were great. I think Jackpine has figured out Omammy’s new, improved tax plan and Keith Arnold has a good point, just collecting taxes from Omammy’s deadbeat appointments will probably make a dent in the deficit. And, I agree with Bobbie – Daschle is a weasel – no, that’s not fair to weasels. Great post + great comments = worthwhile reading!

Tom Daschle was always just a little too "concerned". If the pols would get together on a simple tax code, I really would sing "Kumbaya".

Dawndawn, maybe they would
stuff their papers in their pants and socks and leave them at constructions sites, then lose them or destroy them.

Some of my best friends are weasels. Please don't insult the weasels. After the potential appointments have paid up, I'm expecting a surplus. Kumbaya.

AmSweet, Hi
Yes, the Fair Tax intrigues me, but I don't feel comfortable about without repeal of the 16th Amendment. No IRS sounds terrific to me, too. I think, maybe, the Flat Tax is the easier one to do given the lack of political will in this country.

I'll add to the lines..
Line 3 Are you an evil rich man who creates jobs?
Line 4 Are you conservative? And if so Proceed to line 5. If you are liberal proceed to line 6.
Line 5 What jail would you like to be taken too since you do not embrace the enlightened one's views?
Line 6 You are liberal so money will be sent your way right away.
Nice short and to the point article BMU. Keep it up

Excuses
Well, for anyone that owes taxes, you have some great excuses
sloppiness
honest mistake
hiccup
bump in the road
honest mistake (say this at least 500 times and you will believe it)
get someone in the senate to say that you have "integrity, honor, and this was an honest mistake and you feel bad."
I am sure the IRS will buy it! Of course they will. Oh wait, you have to be nominated for a position in the new administration. Sorry, everyone else, pay your fines and penalties or go to the slammer!
My dad has wanted a flat tax for years. He is still screaming for it! Can you hear him?
