Homosexuals Demand Legitimacy

Gay people demand legitimacy and we as American citizens need to give it to them. I am on the record supporting gay marriage, gay adoption and every other right given to those of us who are straight. And yes I'm a proud Christian who goes to church every week and a Republican at that. You post had a lot of hatred in it, and I believe you are better than that. Having many gay friends from the time I was 14 (I'm 21 now), made me realize that they are no different from you or me. They are beautiful gifts from God and need our love. God makes people gay. They have no choice in the matter, as one of my friends told me "If I could choose, I would be straight just to avoid all the drama". I hope you repent of your sin, and know that I love you as a Christian regardless.

You are very wrong
Dear Christopher
I may be wrong on some things, I do not claim perfection. However, on the issue of my post having hatred in it, I think not. It is not hateful to tell the truth when ignoring the truth may send some one to hell.
God never made anyone a homosexual. Homosexual behavior is just that, a behavior. How bizarre would it be for God to create a person that had no choice over a behavior that God hates, that God named an abomination and that condemns that person to hell?
I would not argue the worth of the individuals who are caught up in this abhorrent lifestyle. God loved them so much – as much as He loves you and I – so much that He sent his one and only Son to die for their sin (and ours). Yes, homosexual behavior is a sin, and the blood of Jesus could cleanse them if they were only willing to repent and change. That is the requirement for all…confess our sin, repent (turn away from that sin) and live as God directs us to live.
If you have a good relationship with Christ, I challenge you to study the Word of God diligently, and pray for your friends. Then be truthful with them. The truth is hard. Romans 1 and Ephesians 5 speak some hard truths, but they cannot in any way be discouted.
Thank you for commenting. I shall pray for you.

Nice column
For a long time I've watched homosexuals attempt to get me to agree with their adopted lifestyle. But wrong is never right and they have never presented me with an argument I buy. I believe that if God makes someone a homosexual then he would not suggest you not engage in such activity.
P.S. I'm over in Sylva and it's noce to see someone from WNC posting here.

We Can Pray. Good blog. I like that you know God's word and don't hedge on the truth.
Bluerider's comment good also.

As Christians we most likely have different views of the Bible. I'm guessing (but correct me if I'm wrong) that you believe that every word of the Bible was ordianed by God and that it should be followed to the tee.
I on the other hand believe that the Bible was inspired by God not written by him. There are so many issues I have with the Bible, from the stoning of children to the idea that the norms of a society 2000 years and further ago should be followed today.
However, if I know only one thing it is this. God exists and he loves us so much. I know this it's not a belief it is the truth. But the Bible while one of the strongest tangilble things we have to give us spirtual insight was man made and therefore flawed.

I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. I also believe he is/was able to convey all he wanted to say to us through the writers without perversion of his Word. Since the Bible is the source of our knowledge and understanding of God, if it is not true then we know nothing.
It seems many people want to interpret Scripture to mean what they want it to mean. And there is not necessarily any agreement among those who would like to leave some portion out. If everyone can leave out the portion or change the portion they are not in harmony with, after about a dozen or so editings, there would be no Word of God left. It is all there for us from God, believe all or nothing. If I did not believe all of it, I would be an utter fool to believe any of it.
Jesus believed it all. He said not one jot or one tittle would pass away until all be fulfilled. WCP

We Can Pray - Bible is all truth
You are correct in your explanation of the Bible being God’s word in its entirety. People who just want to believe part of it are trying to make God over in their own image. A sinful image.
I wish homosexual people would realize that they and the same-sex marriage issue are being used by this administration as a smoke screen to take attention away from the fact that we are going very quickly toward a socialist/fascist nation. When that process is completed, I fear they will find their fate like the homosexuals in Germany. They will be targeted for great persecution, and, God forbid, death.
When government becomes the gatekeeper for national healthcare, which will be rationed according to cost effectiveness, many diseases will not be treated. If life expectancy rates are used to decide whether treatment of illness would be cost effective, the homosexual 45 years of age would be as vulnerable to medical care denial as a 71 year old straight individual.
Look at the cost of the cap and trade bill…”climate change” used as a smoke screen to lay this burden on everyone and further push us into fascism.
I pray that all people will do as the Scripture says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

J___1 I am praying for you.
You say you are not gay,
and you certainly are not happy. I sense your pain and frustration, and I also sense that you are indeed homosexual. The pain and self-hatred will not end if you are allowed to marry your homosexual lover or if all the homosexuals marry one another. The source of your hatred and your anger is that you are defying Jehovah God, the creator of the universe, the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ - the Savior who died for you. And there is no real peace and contentment apart from accepting the Savior’s atonement and repenting of your sin.
You sound like the child of a Christian pastor whom you think hates and despises you. More than likely your family loves you very much, but they cannot and should not allow you to impose your sinful practices upon the family fellowship. It is plain that you would never respect their beliefs and desire to live a quiet life apart from the upheaval of you agitating and demanding that they accept your lifestyle as normal and good. They should not lower their standards. If you will not accept the love they offer to you as a member of the family and respect their right to have their own convictions, then you will forever feel rejected.
God will never lower His standard. But He loves you so much He sacrificed His Son to die for you. He will forgive and He will help you to fight whatever strong urges you have to indulge in deviant behavior. If you will trust in Him to save you, He will never leave you nor forsake you. You can be free.
