You appear reasonable, therefore that statement is uncalled for.

The term is "incrementalism." Just a few short years ago, noone ever thought the government would tell private business owners who they could have as patrons: smokers to name just one. Lest you forget, tobacco is still legal.

Your reference to 9/11 is, of course, a frequent example for those who think the government should "keep us safe." We should not and cannot lockup or deport everybody who may do something that may infringe on someone else's Rights. That would leave Our society with those who may do something and those who convict them.

There's a price for Liberty; and unfortunately that price is the occasional blood of the defenders and the innocent bystanders.

America isn't the same for me either. It is WAY different than when I was growing up. I have lived for more than a half-century

The legislation is smoke and mirrors. That is what the NRA is fighting and I agree.

Remember the Brady Bill? More smoke and mirrors.

Gun control is for well, silly libs. It is a "feel-good" thing. It doesn't work...never has and never will.

The criminal elements don't buy their guns at the local gun store or gun shows. Some fruitloop might but that is few and far between. The criminal elements AND terrorists smuggle them in and/or buy them on the street.

Telling a terrorist it is illegal to buy a gun is a laughable matter.

Be very careful supporting anything a Leftinistra has anything to do with. It isn't what it seems.
