G-D's PERFECT LAW

4 Comments

what exactly are you saying?

i am a bit confused in one part you say;

"The Law was not given to mankind to save us, but simply to show us right from wrong."

which seems to mean that our salvation does not come through the law or our keeping of the law.

yet you also say;

"This contradicts the man-made notion of a New Testament based on grace and faith alone. Salvation involves more than a simple proclaiming faith and grace to all those who believe. Salvation requires an action — obedience."

"G-D clearly says that keeping His commandments is a requirement for entering His glorious Kingdom."

this would seem to imply that the work done on the cross by Christ is not enough.

so again i ask, what are you saying? that all the laws in the Pentateuch should be kept in order to acheive salvation? again my apologies, but i am not understanding.
also, rather then saying "salvation requires an action", it seems to me that salvation produces an action. just as in james the author was not saying that our salvation comes from our works, but rather that faith (true faith) produces action, i.e. works. i am trying to understand...are you saying that we are not justified by Christ, His blood and His redemptive work on the cross? are you saying that we must add to what He did with our works (following of the Law) to make salvation complete? please clarify...

"Obedience as Well as Faith"
obedience because of faith

Shalom Akhi,

I'm sorry for the delay, but like you, I've had some computer problems and have been out of town alot lately, not to mention the Holy Days of Pesach, Hag HaMatzot, and Shavuot which have kept me extremely busy.

I list my personal email address on this blog page and because of this, I have been emailed several questions in regards to my personal beliefs and will address each question in one of my next post. I have included your question(s) as well...:-)

Kind Regards,
Eliyahu Ben Moshe

I miss

reading your posts. They were a great help as I was studying Hebrew at the time. Hope everything is going well for you. May G_d bless you.
