Did Joe Wilson Forge the Niger Documents?

wilson

The documents didn't surface until long after Wilson came back from Africa.

I believe I read a Michael Ledeen article which explained the source of the documents, which was a sometime source in Italy and France (of varying reliability).

It also may have been Hayes, in the Weekly Standard, who has also addressed this.

Britain did not in the slightest depend upon the forged documents. Neither did U.S. intelligence.

Britain had its own sources for the claim that Saddam sought uranium in Niger.

Basically the explanation for Wilson is that he is a narcissistic, partisan, lowlife.

My point is that Wilson appears to be pointing out that documents which he had never officially seen were forged.

Where did he get this information?

I think it is very possible that Wilson was involved in the conspiracy to forge the Niger documents to embarrass the administration.
