First of all this is a well written piece; kudos to you!

I would add here only that it is my belief that much of today's decline in particpation in the political process of our democracy is due to an indifference of what I call the "who cares, they are all the same" theory, that is perpetuated by the drive-by MSM.

By both painting the picture that all politicos are the same, and then saying that those on the left are somehow "in tune" with the little man they have continually dumbed-down the voter to the point of having the voter say to himself; "what can this guy do for me?" as opposed to how can he benefit the country as a whole.
