military vs business experience
I find it interesting when people assert that business people could not run a war. Obviously those people have never actually been in the upper decks of the business world. There is a reason many business poeple read the "Art of War." In both cases you lead people to win. In one case you use deadly force to accoplish the task and try to avoid losses. In business you have to much more subtle but you are kidding yourself if do not think that business does not at times involve being cold, calculating, and ruthless. I am not saying that military individuals are not brave and deserving of great respect and admiration for their sacrifice and courage, but do not underestimate a keen business intellect. A CEO of Romneys experience has fought many "battles" and knows strategy and I believe would have little trouble working with military leaders. Great CEOs know to surroung themselves with great minds and to listen to what experts have to say. Just as you say McCain will get advice from economic exeperts, Romney would easily get advice from military experts. The difference is that we would not have to worry about the illegal invasion that McCain seems to think is somehow not a threat to our nation. Amazing that a war hero and military mind does not see our amazing lack of border security as a threat. How can you be tough on terror yet not want to stop the influx of who knows who from crossing our borders. How many terrorist have already entered our country this way. This has been conservatives biggest complaint about Bush as well. We are tired of the hypocritical view points. We want a leader that will run the war over seas and stop the invasion here at home.
