Obama- the man who would legally marry himself. The man who believes the Neville Chamberlain way works, the man who believes in Wrights sermons. On his way to robbing the treasury, making our previous presidents spending look like a small investment in a candy cane. Yes, this is the moron in chief of the greatest country in the world. Lets hope 2012 will bring a new president.
great post.

I like your reference to pbho`s jutting chin, Skep! No doubt he also has a glass jaw. Liked it when he just started in and stepped on nnnnannnceee`s introduction. Who will have the guts to tell him he should learn protocol? There were too many contradictions and prevarications throughout his speel to count. But it was so well delivered! Eric`s comment about pbho marrying himself is too rich!

Skep: Not sure if my email got to you, so I'm sending in a safety mode message to make sure. I really admire your abilities with the conservative posting. When I read the Big Speech piece, I didn't get past the "Maximum Leader" appellation, at which I cracked up,and am still trying to recover. Keep on keeping on, brother. You are a keeper. God bless you, Verne Strickland aka RIGHT ON RED.

OK, he is Chavez and Castro. We all agree. But, the problem is , you and I and the rest of us are preching to the choir. His numbers will rise among the uninformed, the worshipers, the lemmings, the MSM and the non-productive in our society. It is simple when you emote and don't have to intellectually defend anything. Poor Jindal communicated horridly but his points were point on. Still,no one will care except some thoughtful conservatives. No one in the audience last night stood up and cheered from the great unwashed but laughed. That is horrid in itself but the fact is , communication skills help. Sure, socialist pacifism will fail. It always has. But, by then, the second term will already be extant and BHO will have used conservative terms, words and definitions to sell the entire ball of wax of a Second New Deal. How in a thinking society(if there were one) this petty tyrant could be elected is still mindblowing. But, there it is. Until we have communicators who can sway those Reagan Dems, the Southern-SWestern indies and lazy Pubs back to the Party, Dems will rule the day. Without Fla., no Pub Prez will be elected. And Crist is not the answer.

The older I get the more patient I become. Let the kids worry about the consequences of this. If I had any assets to lose I guess I'd be more upset than I am. I spent all my money putting three kids through college so I just have a mortgage that is going closer to negative equity as house prices tumble. Maybe we're wrong and Obama will be a tremendous success.

I live in the San Fernando Valley. We proudly boast to be the pornography capital of the world. People in the pornography industry never vote for Republicans because Republicans talk constantly about putting them out of business. Why do people in the automobile industry ever vote for any Democrat? Why does anyone in the health care industry, where they've already seen the mess that Medicare has caused, vote to become government employees? Are people who work in porno movies more able to determine their own self-interests better than auto workers or nurses? People will change their tune soon, I think.

After I got over that first thrill at seeing an African American take the podium as President I listened to the tone of Obama's opening. I listen to Univision news to practice my Spanish and Obama has that same egotistical, slightly aggressive tone. Clinton had a nice delivery but he was a shocking liar. Democrats cant tell the truth, its too ugly.

But The Choir Is Singing... Loudly...
Rackoons, you wrote "But, the problem is, you and I and the rest of us are preaching to the choir." Don't be so sure; I know more and more Obama supporters suffering from buyers' remorse, just a month in. Word is getting around. And like Skep, it's right here in the soft underbelly of California. I ask friends "hey, how's that Obama thing working out for you?" and all I see is embarrassed faces. So, from one preacher to another, this is not the time to lose faith. And don't forget, our hope is not based on politics, a leader, or the economy. Pray for revival.
Seen the polls? Looks to me like some quarters of the unwashed masses are waking up and realizing their getting a bath. I just hope Obama's approval ratings get into single digits before the Dow-Jones does.
Skep: you've got a great way with words, and you wield your keyboard like a righteous broadsword. I don't think any of the bad guys came away from your post unbloodied. Keep up the good work.
And everyone - never forget that we conservatives are on display. In the factories and offices where we work, in the schools, and in the streets, we are being seen. Smile. Laugh. Stand tall and confidently. NEVER miss an opportunity to remind the other side that Obama, the Democrats - and the RINOs - are wrong, but don't ever forget America is the only nation on Earth that can survive a leader this bad and recover. We know the best days of America are not behind us. Show 'em we believe it. And don't quit working for a better tomorrow. Support good candidates. Thank them when they do well.
We may in some ways be preachin' to the choir, but that choir can SING. The preacher's sermon may go no farther than the sanctuary, but when the choir sings out, the people out on the sidewalk can hear it. SING. Lift up your voices and be HEARD.

Outstanding post! I think I may have to retire my blog after reading your work...I don't mean that in a bad way, either. You're prolific and spot on in your analysis.
Regarding the speech, BHO and the left have been telling us all along what they plan on doing. None of this comes as a surprise. What IS surprising is the speed with which they have been able to advance their socialist agenda.
We are in for a worst-case scenario, and by the time the sheeple realize it, it'll be too late.
I am laying in supplies.

The sight of Red Nanny popping up and down like some kind of crazed jack-in-the-box on crank was too distracting for me to pay much attention to the change agent's speech.
Your right about Jindal. Get thee to speech coach, Bobby! He had the right message but I think conservatives were probably expecting a little more fire.
I happened to catch a snippet of Brian Williams doing a pre-speech interview with one of the dem hacksters. He tossed up a standard hard hitting media softball and asked if the President would be expressing confidence in America in his speech.
His response started, "The President believes that America is fundamentally good...", at which point my blood pressure pegged the meter and I missed the end of it.
The red snowball is rolling down hill and picking up speed as one socialist bill after another is introduced in rapid fire order, while the Marxist-in-Chief sends his spinners to try and convince the public that he doesn't really hate America and Americans.
God help us all!

I'm seeing the same thing. People thought the losses to their 401k's that were obviously the result of the Evil Bush Tax Cuts would repair themselves in the New Age Of Change. Most people were outraged that the paper profit they made on their houses disappeared. People thought of that money as real; many of them borrowed heavily against it. Now it turns out that the stimulus bill doesnt do anything about getting them THEIR money back. The people around me who thought they were equity millionaires and were planning on selling their homes in Studio City or Encino and retiring to Oregon or Washington are now in the negative and its beginning to dawn on them that the chicken has flown the coop and WONT come home to roost anytime soon.

Lets print those cool t-shirts and sell them...you get the permit from the EPA for the ink, I'll get to work on the Environmental Impact Report. We cant really ignore the OEO, we're going to need to have a minority associate or one of us will have to change our last name to Gonzales. The business permits from the City Of Los Angeles will breeze through in a few weeks, the County might need some grease to the local supervisor. I'm fairly confident that the state environmental people will be relaxed, my cousin knows who to pay off. Even after we pay our corporate taxes, our independent contractor taxes, our own Social Security and Medicare taxes (both the employee and employer portions) and only charge $150 a shirt we can make enough money in a month's backbreaking work to get together and have dinner at The Sizzler on our profits.
I used to print t-shirts in my garage. Its the easiest part of the process these days.

Where's Mike Deaver When We Need Him?
I watched Jindal's speech again. Its only the first two minutes that are bad. He should have led off with the soundbyte of the evening. You have about ten seconds to make the sale. Palin did it magnificently at the Rep convention. The striped tie would only happen in Louisiana. Around here the camera crew would have stopped him from going on in that tie. Someone also should be reprimanded for the soft-focus plantation scene in the background. All it lacked was a negro servant pouring a mint julep for The Colonel. Clinton never gave a speech on TV until he had given it several times before small groups. By the time he was on camera it worked perfectly. If you want to be the Prez Bobby you better be hot on TV or you're just a McLame, doomed from the start.

No. I'm voting for some critter named Steve Moore but somewhere between the polling place in The Valley and the counting computer downtown the ballots will be switched with a box containing plenty of VivaLaRaza ballots. Its another example of the cultural influence of our sunny neighbor to the south where the PRI pioneered electioneering of that sort.

Fire in San Diego: Whomp there he is.
OC Flooding: Whomp there he is.
And on and on it goes. I remember when he was following Hillary around the state. Always trying to get his air time. I think he puts Schumer to shame with mugging for the camera.
By the way, I saw two of his campaign commercials the other day. Viva La Tony. By the way, did he ever change his name back? Remember the last name was his and the wife's (he cheated on)put together?
