As a child, I found my heros in history books; and there was never any question of who was right and who was wrong.

My Grandpa held such authority over us that we stayed out of the cookie jar fearing just a simple "look" from him.

Back before our "grey" area of today, knowing black and white is what made us victorious in the face of the enemy in the time of war with decisive victories. Now, we don't even enforce borders, culture, morality.......

Thank you for sharing that. There was no lack of heroes like George Washington or those who cared for me as a child. But that influence of our funny paper and comic book heroes often helped us to believe good could triumph over evil.
