The Emerging Right Endorses John McCain

Irony in Action

Emerging Right endorsing a candidate veering to the left. Huh??

Your arguments are totally unconvincing...and confusing. You say that McCain's position on (it's ILLEGAL!!!!!) immigration "seems a little TOO risky to me when it comes to the long-term future of the country", yet you accept it. If it was TOO risky, then you wouldn't accept it...you would think the risk was too great.

Let me be frank; this article sucks. You're entitled to your opinion, but, you don't back it up with any specifics. You haven't really convinced yourself that McCain is worthy, so, why do you think you can convince others?

You can't! McCain sucks...you know it.

Irony in Action

There is a basic point we must all keep in mind: It is possible to support politicians even though one thinks that not all of their positions are correct. I disagree with McCain, but I have endorsed him.

We might have a difference of opinion about how risky McCain's immigration plans are. I think they are quite risky in the very long-term, but not so risky in the short-term. Because of this differential, I am willing to accept a President like McCain for now, given the alternatives. There may still be time to get some decent immigration reform in later on, or else the demographic situation and its relation to voting habits might improve due to other, unforeseen factors.

Find a new line of work...

Like I said, you're not very good at this...your arguments are not compelling or supported by the facts.

"The main thing is that McCain has, in general, the right ideas on economics. Economics is his strong suit, not his weak suit."

McCain himself admitted to not having a good understanding of the economy.

"He is the candidate of economic growth."

So, you think his proposed global warming carbon tax will stimulate economic growth? McCain will trip over a dollar to pick up a nickel.

"That's what we need, not new Democrat-supported entitlement programs that will put the county in the poor house."

Is amnesty for illegals not just a huge entitlement program? Do you not believe the economic studies that warn of dire economic consequences resulting from amnesty?

Can you not bring yourself to call it what it is...ILLEGAL immigration?

Your standards must not be very high if you're so willing to accept McCain. And, why be so short-sighted? Demand more! If you continue to accept less, you will be given less.

Greg B

Greg, you are obviously a loser. Just shut up.

Obviously a loser?

What makes it so obvious? Was it my thoughtful and valid questions? And why should anyone trust your judgment? C'mon...for Pete's sake...you're endorsing John McCain! Who the hell are you anyway, and what difference do you think your "endorsement" will make? Get real.

The fact that you were unable to provide a reasoned response to any of my points/questions proves my point. You have neither the intellect nor the temperament to succeed with your immediate objective...to get support for McCain.

Jack said it best..."You can't handle the truth!"
