Santorum 2008?

Former senator R. Santorum was right about "Intact D&E" (a.k.a, Partial Birth Abortion). He was also right when he used a 'slippery-slope' argument to predict the legal challenges posed by 'consenting adults' (see 05/02/07 article by Jeff Jacoby, Boston Globe columnist), in light of the U.S. Suppreme Court decision in Lawrence v. Texas. He was also right when he critiqued the fact that by calling this military action in Iraq and Afghanistan a 'war on terror', we are missing the target (see then senator Santorum's 'gathering storm' speech, one of his last as senator for PA). Former senator Santorum may have some other priorities in mind for 2008 (Santorum wrote "It Takes a Family", so I'm not surprised he has decided to focus on his own family matters, as opposed to start campaining for the presidency). Still I shared the writer's view, i.e., I would love to see R. Santorum in a 2008 ticket; he is someone that history will -- in fact, history has already started to -- vindicate.
