Hi Mildred! You found TWO! I'm shocked and I sincerely mean that, not being sarcastic. These were mainstream media??? Yes, McCain should key in on points like this. I have another point he should key in on...
Socialism is bland compared to the article I was just sent. Obama's true mentor is Alinsky and his mentor is revealed on my blog...

Thanks for stopping by. I'll check out your site tonight. Actually, these are 3 articles and the other 2 were from APP and Reiters...can you imagine that?
I am hoping that the current flap over take the day off will wake up the undecideds to how dangerous this person is.Not only does he promote socialization, but now he wants them to take a day off, not for the country, but to promote him. the country should stop for his agenda.

The opposing plans
have flaws, but Mildred, McCain would never be able to push his plan through a Democratic congress. They'll stop all of his initiatives if they can. On the other hand, Obama's will FLY through at warp speed. We are polarized, and the "bi-partisanship" of the Dems has always meant, Republicans cave, or else...Good post.

Davecat: Thanks for..
stopping by. I work in a public school, and the whisperings are that very few are voting democratic this year. It is what is not being said. The Obama plan will destroy unions, and we will become the Poland of the 80s.
I agree wholehearedly with your synopsis of the likelihood of the outcome, all we can "hope" is the power of the veto if we have a democratic legislature with a McCain presidency. And I wonder, how many moderate/centrist Democrats would actually support Obama's plan? Perhaps most of them are only supporting the Democratic ticket for self-preservation since Congress is at an 11%(?) approval rating.

Students and teachers have been early voting on campus this week. I wonder how many are voting for McCain/Palin....! I'm appalled at how much early voting is going on. It used to be for people that had excuses not to vote on Nov. 4.
Good job on bringing the health plans up.

Sandra, Thanks for
stopping by. Here in NJ w do not have early voting. The kids don't usually show up at the polls in Central NJ...no big universities.
I live in GOP country so we don't see too many Dem signs. But Camden, Hudson, and Essex are big Dem areas and much more populated.

Obama's policies
Are the dumbest anyone can come up with.
He was brainwashed starting by his mother the liberal, radical, and Frank.
Continue with the rest of the communist crew he surrounded himself with, and add Rashid Khalidi, William Ayres, Dorn, Raila Odinga...
Dear God, we have the new Fidel Castro, Trotski, Marx, and Lenin in Obama.

Thanks for the info on the health plans. I was reading the article in the Wall Street Journal the other day.
I have never been thrilled with Obama's plan because quite frankly we don't have the money to fund it nor the doctors, nurses, etc...
I have a niece in nursing school and back in April/May she was Obama all the way. Then she started looking at the Health Care and of course other issues surrounding Obama and she has moved to McCain/Palin.
Oh and as for take the day off to vote, what is that? I personally thought that was extremely lame. But, what do I know. I always voted early before I went to work or left work 15 minutes early to get to the polls. I did not need the entire day off for it!

Sue: There is so much more
I have a BSN and will finish my masters in January. Healthcare is extremely complicated, and to radicalize the system will cost more, decrease quality, and take the US from recession into depression.
Taking the day off is another assault on the employer and a handout to the employee. If that was to happen, productivity and spending would drop for the day, and be the lead in for another holiday. Here in NJ, state employees just lost pension benefits and Lincoln's birthday as a paid holiday. What will we call this new holiday? Obama Day?

Joe; you hit the nail on....
the Cuba. Moore praised the Cuban health care, and that flick went over like a lead balloon. The reality is that when we move to socialized medicine, we decrease medical education. Medical educationn is funded by the federal government. health providers negotiate contracts with providers based on percentages. Providers pay 10-15% less to facilities that do not provide medical education. Medical education is not limited to physicians, it encompasses clinical trials and advancing disease treatments. Health promotion is the key for preventable disaeases, but after Obama parts the waters, my guess is that anticipates irradicating all illnesses too.

Congratulations on that Masters. You are almost there. Good for you!
Health care to me is complicated, but heck if Obama gets in, it is FREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you even imagine nationalized health care? Yes, the waiting period is 14 months! If you have any type of chronic disease just press 2 and we will move you up to 9 months. If you expire before then, please let us know! Thank you and have a nice day!

Sue The differences are quality/quantity
National health care is not only a redistribution of wealth but includes limited resources. We currently lack not only MDs but RNs also. Nursing education enrollment in the US just started to improve through the assistance of nonprofit institutions. We will have lower quality care and less ethical medicine because the delivery of care will be utilitarian, based on the greater good and not individual need.

Whatever happened to, "You get what you pay for?"
Well that is the thing if they nationalize health care. Where are all these doctors coming from? How about the nurses? I have two friends who became nurses over the last year and my niece is in nursing school. They got jobs right away. There has been a shortage for awhile now.
I am sure that Obama will be able to handle this. I mean give them free health care after they get their free education.
