Comment on: Greg England ...

Why I am not a liberal - reason 13576B-354-234/A

Exploiter?

You hit on one of those topics that always amazed me, the idea that we should not support companies that pay $1 a day in the third world.

As $1/day is higher than local wages, they are actually raising the standard of living, yet they get denounced as exploiters.

Makes no sense to me.

C'mon, Greg...

...is this the only reason? I'm sure you can think of more.

Again, observations right on target. May your tribe increase!

Seminar Caller

I have just listened to a clip of a seminar caller on today's Rush Limbaugh show (i.e. Friday 25th April 08).

I don't know how he manages to keep his patience with these people ... my heart sank as soon as she started to talk because the agenda just oozed from her miserable voice.

What I mean to say ...

On Friday, a woman phoned up Rush, was all sweetness and light, and told him that she had been listening to him for several years and she was a Republican.

Rush started to smell a rat, and she started to act all defensively. However, he let her proceed, and she then started asking why people were going on about Rev Wright, because it's not the Rev that is running for president it's Obama.

This is absurd.

I would expect ANY Presidential candidate REGARDLESS of their political affiliation to be grilled about their associations with controversial figures.

That's the way democracy works.

Classic Liberalism

A classic "form over substance" liberal feel good show. The participants will tell the stories at parties, of how the once worked in a third world sweatshop, to other liberals for the rest of their lives. Probably while smoking the hemp, not wearing it.

Yes, I want to know everything about the person who gets to sit next to the "World War III" button. Especially if some of their best friends are unrepentant terrorist bombers.

Sgt

Yes, the latter concern me even more than the Rev. I hope Ob gets pasted with these associates time and time again.

Greg

I'll bet those liberals went right back to their over-plush lives after their little escapade. But they have stories they can tell for the rest of their lives.

Yep!

Yeah, these people love to make a spectacle of how 'concerned' they are for the environment and other people. But as already said here, it's all for show.

Interface

As Interface pointed out:

There was a danger that this post implied that there was only one reason "Why I am not a liberal"

By giving the post a unique reference number, it should become clear that this is only reason 13576B-354-234/A.

I will probably articulate on reason 13576B-354-234/B at some later date.
