Jindal is talented but
as a devout Catholic (I believe, no pun intended), I don't exactly see how he bridges the confusing slavish devotion of Jews to the Dems. Particularly in this election with Obama and his vacillating support for Israel.

I think after four years, the bloom will be off the rose for the Jewish Democrat vote with Obama. With regard to Israel, I expect Obama to be more like Carter and Clinton before him, expecting Israel to trade more land for peace.
Don't get me wrong. Unless there is an axe murdering Anti-Semite in the oval office, I don't expect the GOP to be more than 30% of the Jewish vote. For the record, Reagan scored 35% of the Jewish vote in 1980
Someone like Jindal's conservative fiscal views, lower taxes, and smaller government can get the Jewish vote back to that point.
We can only wait and see what happens over the next four years and how much damage Obama can do to both our economy and our foreign relations.

I agree with J-GOP
I live in NJ and work in an ultra-orthodox/ Hassidic town. They went unanimously for Republicans. I see more Democrats with secular and reformed sects. While living in an affluent area in the 90's, friends left the reformed temple because the rabbi pulled up to temple with Torah in his trunk on Yom Kippur. Some will leave the secular sect if the US wavers on Isreali support and they will suddenly find faith again. Nostalgia often creates guilt for abandoning your roots.
This is an ecumenical view, since I am like Jindal, Roman Catholic. But I like Michael Steele too. Unfortunately, he needs to get back into the political arena other than GOPAC.
