HJC,does ANYONE in the dhimmi party have a lick of sense in their frigging brain? To make THIS country's policy to kow-tow to that steaming pile of gooses#!t on Turtle Bay? WHAT IN HADES are these azshats using for critical thinking skills? The democrats have supported some REALLY stupid things, but this is damn near TREASONOUS in my humble opinion. The candidate who could cinch my vote this year would be the one to support sending the dozers to that den of thieves over there on the east side. DAMN I hate that bunch. Thieves, liars, scoundrels all. Where in Sam Hill is John Bolton when you need him!!!?? One more thing,Garnet, I would have had some respect for the cretins who flew into the WTC had they smacked down the U N bastion of bandits instead on 9/11. Getting us OUT of the U N won't be good enough for me. SEND THE WHOLE DAMN BUILDING OUT AS WELL. On a trash barge if neccessary. God,what a bunch of azshats.

You may have already seen it but if not, it is a great post on our firends, the UN. I think Glenn hates the UN as much as you and I. Anyway, he has some good specifics regarding their global ambitions. Here's the link:

This is unreal!! Strangely enough, there are some idealistic ideas here...if it weren't for the greed, the tyrants, the insane, ...in other words, if it weren't for mankind.
I agree with clyde and those who think that way...we need to get out of the UN and form a new union with the decent countries of the world.
And we need to throw the UN out of this country to start with.
Then could we please send Obama afterwards.
Garnet, this post is just great! The work is awesome.
We need everyone watching out for this bill to be developed and enacted so we can bombard Congress. (Could that include with shotguns?)

Kev, once again, thanks
I've been disappointed in the apparent lack of concern about this issue, as well as the UN issue as well - since they're linked. I really haven't seen much on other conservative sites. Are we the only ones worried about this issue? By we, I mean the 15-20 who comment on various blogs. I'm new at this so I don't have much to compare the activity to - but I'd sure like to see more exposure to what Obama and the dems are trying to pull.

I agree, the concept is wonderful - can't we all "just get along"? In a perfect world, there'd be something like the UN, a global authority. But, the world ain't perfect. And as you note, if it weren't for the bad guys, it would work. Absent that, I also would like to see us leave the UN and form a similiar group - but not one where the cards are stacked against us. Regardless of what the looney left thinks, the U.S. is still the best hope for the rest of the world = we ARE the good guys.

While surfing the net last night, I was just clicking around and on the dailykos, they were actually talking about this act.
Of course to them it was the next best thing to sliced bread. I was like, what is this? By the way, they have no true understanding of the bill at all. Super! Great - more money to all!
I agree with Clyde, cut the building out and send it out to sea. Or just put up a big huge fence and turn it into a jail.

I hope that you took a bath or shower after visiting Kos. I always feel dirty after being on Kos or Huffington. Many of those people are really loons. And to think that they're allowed to breed - sheesh. I'll have to go lurk about there and see what they say about it - thanks for the "heads up."

I need a heavy duty shower after going to those places. Apparently there was some angry people because CNN was saying that McCain did a pretty good job.
There are a lot of loons. Quite frankly that site is put together very strange! (DailyKos). I would send you what they said about the bill, but I can't freaking find it. I get so lost over there. Maybe that is a good thing. Those threads are endless and there is 4,000 topics going at once.
Yes, they do reproduce and that is scary. I will say, they did have some ugly things to say about Pelosi. I was surprised. I also have noticed that a lot of things seem to disappear after a day or two. Weird.

Did you see anything on Huffington about it? I have not, nor have I looked yet.

I don't visit either of those sites more than a couple of times a month unless Huff Post has an article that shows up on Real Clear Politics, Politico, or Hot Air. Hardly ever see an article linked to Kos - maybe they're just to loony to link to by a reptuable site?

Once Obama is elected...

Frankly, I've been becoming more hopeful recently that we will avoid an Obamation. It appears that his "above my pay grade" comment will come back to haunt him. McCain's polling numbers have been gradually rising. I think that there is little new to learn about McC - he is what he is, take him or leave him. While more light is being shined on Obama we're learning more about him and it's not all pretty. At least that's my take on the polling data. I agree that his presidency will ba a disaster - I pray we don't have to deal with that.

Thanks Sue - I do have that information
If the “Truth” document concerned you, just read the first statement/answer carefully – all it refers to (and the bill) is the creation of the mechanism to implement the subsequent appropriations – therefore, the 1 million dollars. That’s not where the hit comes, it comes later when Congress (with the help of more new democrats) actually funds the 0.7 %. So, it is accurate to say that Obama’s bill will only cost 1 million now – 1 million to prepare for the later appropriations of the 0.7 % - and that’s where the 845 billion comes in. And I could not find the “entire bill” there – how’d you get to it? The summary wouldn’t even download?

Is this the entire bill?
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/110-s2433/show
Or this one?
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=s110-2433
I think this may have the bill by other names, because we are half way through on this, right?
I have no idea how I came across the site. I could not get the summary to download either. I was just looking at the "Truth" document. Makes it sound so wonderful.....

Yes, I believe so
The first one is the one that I would prefer to use as a source for anything since it's got a link to the full, actual bill text. If you're interested in seeing more of the UN's description of the goals - here is a URL for that
http://www.unmillenniumproject.org/documents/MainReportChap ter17-lowres.pdf
This looks like a UN-produced brochure on the subject.
