You are so right in every point you've made. It is a law of physics that you can't get blood out of a rock, and you can't get prosperity out of a government controlled market.

Two things about government have always flabbergasted me. a) The elected bums are always saying, "We have to find a way of paying for this..." and b) Any government program that fsils subsequently receives an even larger budget.

Re: a) Where do these idjits think the money that they spend comes from? How can THEY find a way to pay for anything except through stealing the funds from those who actually produce wealth?

Re: b) I guess when you aren't working for the money you spend, you have no sense of its value. You tend to throw cash into holes in an attempt to reach the goal of filling in the holes.

You and Andrews make economics fairly easy to understand. Why, oh why can't the elected critters in DC learn to add and subtract?
