Black History: More truth !
I love it! I'm 4o and sick of the constant white-wash over the black plight against whitey! Made-up and selective history so the African American can get billions more of whitey's $ and say were racist at the same time. Sad so sad and who pays?

February and Black History Month....
Not sure if you realize this, but there have been complaints filed over using February as "Black History" month. You wanna know why????? It's the shortest month of the year!!!!!!!! Not only does this single egocentric, egomaniacal group of so called black/African American representatives get an entire month but a unique day on top of it. We just passed President's Day where the actual founders of this country are only good enough to be placed together.
Perhaps the greatest travesty I have ever experienced is here in Houston, Texas, where I had my dental practice downtown for 25 years. This is a "cowboy" town of sorts. Having been born and raised here, the Saltgrass Trail Ride coming into and through downtown Houston was always looked forward to. Back then they even gave you the day off from school to watch the riders come into and through downtown. However, as Houston has grown and developed the Houston City Council banned all demonstrations, parades, and yes, even the Saltgrass Trail riders kicking off the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo season. City commerce just did not want to or felt they did not want to suffer any more disruptions, except until guess what? The creation and emplacement of Martin Luther King Day.
Now, here is the real gem in all of this. Houston had two black factions that claimed to be the "real" celebrants of Martin Luther King Day. Since they could not come to a compromise and of course no one wanted to or had the testicular anatomy to stand up to this mess, Houston had two, mind you, parades that day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. One that knackered up the morning rush hour and one that messed up the evening rush hour. This not to mention the rest of the day's ingress and egress of commerce. My office was virtually in the middle of all of this, totally circumscribed by thes two events. I eventually had to give up a day's practice and that income on account of this abomination.
Do you think as a businessman, if I had gone before the Houston City Council with my complaint how they would have reacted? They would have tar brushed me as the biggest bigot, racist dentist/person since the days of Jim Crowe.
It is amazing to me how so much lip service can be given to GRACE and on account of black issues and slavery of over 150 years ago. I never gave race a thought in my dental office. I did not have the so called "lily white" office. One of my finest dental assistants was black. I even went to church with her and her family. I have witnessed and remarked to many that never had I ever experienced such warmth, love, and the presence of God and Christ. I was going through some difficult times subsequent to my visit with my mother and father, eventually a divorce, and a child envolved with drugs. This same dental assistant gave me a recorded sermon by pastor Mike Williams of Joy Tabernacle Church, where I had attended. It was entitled, "From Scabs to Scars". Outside of Harold Kutchner's book, "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" has something touched me so deeply. It was a sermon on forgiveness, on grace, on letting yourself off "the hook".
It teaches and tought me by grasping onto and clinging to old wounds and injuries is no different than picking at a scab. It never heals. If you let that scabbed inury heal it might have less than perfect skin, that is a scar, but at least it can no longer cause pain, and/or get infected again. There will be a reminder of that injury but it can no longer hurt you.
This is the power that came from that one sermon. The sermon from a black pastor, that I as another human being, cherish and have passed onto others, of all colours and creeds. As long as we continue to let old transgressions fester like old wounds, just like old wounds, if forgiveness is not given some times wounds left to be reinfected can become so recalcitrant to treatment they eventually kill the patient.
The Democrats have enslaved blacks for their own power base. They insult blacks that "they" the Democrats, the government, knows what they need and if you will only vote for them they will provide substance and substinence. If that isn't modern day slavey, if that is not entrapment, I don't know what is.
This is my very first blog and I hope that this venue in some small way will start an open, honest, and peaceful way of helping all of us.

Black History & Slavery
Okinell writes: I find it incredible how the blacks in the USA, of African descent, have been so duped by the likes of Louis Farrakhan and "The Nation of Islam" and related organizations convincing this ethnic group that Islam (Muslims) was and/or is their religion of origin. Slavery is "alive and well" in Muslim countries like Chad and Yemen.
I don't disagree with your comments about The Nation of Islam and other muslim religions...but I do disagree how you write "How the Blacks in USA...duped"...get real!!! It's only a very SMALL percentage of Black Americans and African Americans who are 'duped' into beliving this. As a 45 year old Black American (Conservative Republican) woman..I can attest to this as FACT!!!. Again, I'm not disagreeing with your post, but only how you are looping 'the Blacks' seemingly that we ALL believe this.
And on your post of "February and Black History Month...." You probably do not know or associate with a lot of Black Americans, most of the BA's I know, no all the one's I know think of BHM as just that, nothing spectacular. Just a month to perhaps teach young ones of all races BA's contribution to shaping our world. We should embrace EVERY races' contribution they have made in shaping our world. It's people like the below who blow it out proportion because A FEW radical BA's blow it out of proportion! MOST BA's do not feel like what Arlo writes below, it's just not true among the vast majority of BA's.

The Hubris of Gore and Leftist Elite
I don't have time right now to go into this in much detail. Suffice it to say that this is so typical of the malignant hubris that those with unearned power and/or wealth the "rest" of us are suppose to swallow. Just look at the "left coast", Gore, the Clintons, the Kennedy's........get my drift? I do believe that Gore will end up being the laughing stock from the beginning of the 21st century.
Anyway.......stay tuned for more of my ramblings and "venting". I am so glad to finally taken the time to settle into this new venue. Oh, and thank you Aurelyah for your candid comments. This is the sort of intelligent platform that some of us via this wonderful vehicle, the Internet, can come closer and I hope and pray begin to perhaps heal many of our wounds. BTW, wasn't it Gore that "invented the Internet"....LOL, LOL! Good greif....Tipper, his wife, supposedly said that that idiot couldn't even program their VCR so he put black electrical tape over the blinking 12:00...LOL
