Don't let him off so easy on the character creation. You cannot change anything but facial features. The rest is an outright lie. Not only that, but you are forced to make your player scarred. No scar is not an option, so your players comes complete with blemishes and all. The only remotely correct thing he said is that traits are customizable. Not the ones he mentioned, but you can customize some of your characters appearance.

That's the truth.
