Anyway, I think you're right about his urge to hug all of us poor slobs living lives of toil and despair. It's astounding, if not downright spooky, that the person who most views Barack Obama as an American Messiah, is Barack Obama.

In reading through some of the stuff you found, my first reaction was that it was great satire.

But sometimes truth really is stranger, and funnier, than fiction.

And you're right. It's hard to distingush satire from reality with Obama. So it's easiest to think of him as one big joke.
