A Little (very little) Fun V

The soup definately

has to have HR 1572, The Hate Crime Legislation. My social callender is full on soup day, since this is going to be one ghastly soup. Don't know what day it is, just know I can't be there. My stomach is churning just thinking about it.

Very creative Mrs. AL

Mrs. AL

How timely.
My contribution would have to be HR 1388 (S277)
the GIVE ACT ('Voluntary Corps') just passed in the Senate yesterday.

On this one, I'll contribute, but not partake...

Good idea, Mrs. AL.

Mrs. AL

EXECUTIVE ORDER -- REVIEW AND DISPOSITION OF INDIVIDUALS DETAINED AT THE GUANTÁNAMO BAY NAVAL BASE AND CLOSURE OF DETENTION FACILITIES. http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/ClosureOfGuanta namoDetentionFacilities/

Close this place without anyone volunteering to take the TERRORISTS, not military combatants, and giving them more chances to fight against our military once more. I don't think Obama's even visited Guantanamo.

Soup must include new gun ban.

Last night on Greta, Ms.Clinton made a complaint that American guns were the real reason for Mexican violence and Holder has made some mewing sounds about restoring the Clinton deal of banning heavy killing guns, we can see that unless the NRA stands up with American popular help, here we go again. What a nice piece of tart spice for the soup. Stop by my new military blog rant. Thankas

So many laws, so little time

My vote would be the Commerce Clause, under which the federal government continually tries to exert control some activity which constitutionally is ceded to the states, under "interstate commerce." It's bogus and in some cases, the SC has actually found that the fed can't do something that they tried to do (using the commerce clause as the pretext). The fed tries something new just about every year to control something that is has no authority to control.

The Great Society (Welfare)

I would like to see all the provisions of LBJ's "Great Society" done away with.

Before welfare, the black community in Mississippi was vibrant, with mostly two parent families and growing economically.

Now, almost 40 years after the Great Society was enacted, the black community is poor, drug-ridden, uneducated, and has mostly single parent families.

The black community was destroyed by the Great Society and most blacks don't even recognize that the Democrats pulled the trigger.

Roe v. Wade

Here's a big stinky law to throw into the pot. By the way, what a clever way to vent! Cool idea Mrs. AL!

Mrs L

This is a great post! I was gonna use Roe V Wade but I see that Marty took it :(

Easy

The Federal Dept of Education. The beginning of national control of higher education and the radicalization of our youth is carried out.

Bobbie

Yea, I may have to be absent as well, Bobbie. This is going to be the nastiest concoction imaginable, given the creativity and passion of the folks at TH!!

Thanx for your contribution of The Hate Crime Legislation. It’s already starting to stink here.

Jennifer

HR 1388/S 2777 goes in the cauldron, I mean pot. Whew, the stink is already starting to be problematic …

Thanx for your ingredient and I will be tooling by your blogs soon.

Eric

Thanx for the link, Eric. In goes that Executive Order!

I guess it doesn’t matter what is right for the country any more, as long as the world is pacified, eh?

I will be coming by your neck of the wood soon.

Rackoons

I wonder how long we are going to tolerate the put down of this country by those in power in D.C. I really question to WHICH constitution some of these people took their oaths of office.

New gun ban … plopped the pot and thanx for the ingredient. I have visited your most recent post and will be checking back soon.

Garnet

The Commerce Clause goes in the soup and at this point, I think it is time to turn up the heat a little bit … what do you think?

What I keep going back to is why aren’t the States exerting their rightful place in our Republic? IMHO, “Fly a Kite” sounds like a good motto for some State to use relative to the national government’s over reaching ways.

Your corner of the blogosphere is on my list to visit (now-now, don’t take it down – lol).

Gray Ghost

Whoa … got to get a bigger pot now. Thanx for the addition. I remember when all this went down and now look at the mess people are in all in the name of “helping”. Stripping any Citizen of their right to succeed (or fail) is wrong-wrong-wrong.

I will be stopping by again soon to see what’s up at your place.

Marty

Roe v. Wade is in and thanx for adding this ingredient on behalf of the most innocent among us.

I will be by again soon to see what you have to say about the state of affairs in which we find ourselves.

American Sweetheart

A double dose of Roe v. Wade is ok to add! There it goes into the pot …. We need to protect these innocent souls.

I was by your place recently and will swing by again soon. Pls excuse me as I have a little trouble keeping up with where I have been and not been recently.

Boaz

Great idea to dump this Department in the mix – it’s gonna’ cause quite a stink as do the other ingredients. Not ready to upchuck yet, but my appetite is clearly shot.

Thanx for popping in and adding this to the mixture. Your corner of the universe is on my list (gosh, that doesn’t sound right).

Bobbie

I will offer up the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.

This was the surrender of our nation's control of our economy and the implementation of the federal income tax as a permanent, non-apportioned penalty on wages.

Then, add a full measure of the New Deal, FDR's contribution to the socialization of America.

Social Security is the biggest Ponzie scheme in history, NOT Madaf's theft of client's money.

I could offer more, but these two will definitely poison the pot.

Glenn

Glen

Excellent ingredient (choice) the Fed is the first instance I can find of CONgress handing off power which was reserved to CONgress.

How about

that tasty treat they handed us, McCain-Feingold?

Once we get this pot of soup made, how about we take it to DC and make the congresswhores eat every bit of it. Survivors can keep their jobs.

Glenn

I agree with Boaz, the Federal Reserve Act is an excellent ingredient. Guess we could use it as the liquid to boil this mess. What do you think?

The New Deal, etc were also very poorly thought out and consequences to our Constitutional Republic ignored, IMO. Plooooop … it’s in the pot also.

Thanx for stopping by and I will be headed your direction very soon.

MD/MG

And in this pot of goop goes McCain-Feingold. Gads this stuff is smelling worse and worse. Yuck.

Great idea -- however comma given the bent of the majority of those who are in office at this time, MD/MG, don’t you think that vast majority would actually thrive on this concoction? Haha

Thanx for participating and see ya’ in the threads!

I don't think they'd thrive

They don't consume the [dyslexic] carp they force down our throats. They consume the finest food and drink at our expense. It would only be proper that we return the favor. Kind of like a survivor type show. Let's televise it and make it a real circus.

Very Good Fun!

Lots of ingredients but I am with Eric on the closure and release of terrorists and paying them welfare! Thanks, Mrs. AL!

MD/MG

Good point! … “They don't consume the [dyslexic] carp they force down our throats.”

I wonder, MD/MD, perhaps we are the subjects of the reality show – we want our Country to survive. Hmmmm ... thanx for making me think.

Dawn

All righty … a second heaping of the closure is added to the mixture. I appreciate that.

Eeeek, this is getting rancid, to say the least. Anybody out there got a gas mask I can borrow?

Thanx for having a little fun, Dawn, and I will be stopping by soon!

Mrs AL

My pick was McCain /Fiengold but MD/MG stole my thunder!!!!!

How about...

just the "talk" of the fairness doctrine? it stinks enough for me!!!

Afghanistan

Afghanistan could become the dreaded empire killer it has been for many empires. If Pakistan does not allow us into Pakistan to follow the Taliban terrorists, we will be the next "empire" to fail in Afghanistan. If we do get to trail them into Pakistan, we have a chance to be the first to actually come out alive.

Pen Captain

Not to worry, a second scoop of McCain/Feingold is in the soup with all the other putrid ingredients. Whew … what a stench.

Thanx for stopping by and I will be by your blog again soon to see what is on your mind.

Snow Knight

Excellent observation about the “talk” about the fairness doctrine. We will indeed put that in this mixture fit only for those who deserve it.

I appreciate you stopping in and participating, Snow Knight. I will indeed be by soon to see what you have on tap at this time.

Dad

Thanx for your comments, Steve. I have been thinking about and studying this for some time now. I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my query at your place.

I will be swinging by soon to see what you have up now.

running out of ingredients

I'd say Reagan's Amnesty bill that he thought would put a stop to illegal immigration as well as appeasing the latin community. It did neither. All it did was make it worse and have the left try for another one without securing the border. That's more democrats in need of government help. Oh boy! Hopefully no one took that ingredient already. Me personally, I make a damn good chicken noodle soup with bean sprouts and water chesnuts.

Any law requiring bike helmets

and the like...

Jesse

Oh, I don’t know, seems to me there are so many ingredients that our soup pot will overfloweth. I have no doubt you make a mean soup also.

The first amnesty bill has been added to the soup. I agree, that has opened the door to some very unintended consequences!

I will be popping onto your blog soon to see what you have cookin'.

Virginia Daddy

Holding my nose … preparing ingredient … and here goes biking helmet laws and the like into this most terrible goopy mess.

Thanx for the addition and your site is in my sites. Will be there soon.

I'll throw this one in...

...how did it come to be that a sitting, elected president of the U.S. get the power to fire a CEO of an American corporation? That circumstance and what ever led up to it should be "boiled in oil". DD

closing gitmo

Now there is an ingredient that is truly rotten to the core!!

Mrs AL re A little FUN!

One can't have a good soup with out meat..HOW bout all the PORK Congress has created!??

DD

Indeed, “how did it come to be that a sitting, elected president of the U.S. get the power to fire a CEO of an American corporation?”

This most certainly has to be added to this pot of yeeeeeuck.

I will be strolling by your place soon, DD.

Crossbow

Thanx for popping in for a little fun. Good to see you.

Another pound of closing Gitmo is now simmering in the pot with all the other rancid ingreadients.

I will be heading your way soon to see what you have recently penned.

Kevin

Very good. We do need more meat and “all the PORK Congress has created” is an excellent addition. And here it goes ……… plop.

I will be jogging by your place again soon and thanx for stopping by for a little fun.

Mrs AL

Thank you sooo much for stopping by the "castle" !!!I will have a new post up soon! God Bless!

GunnyG

Another gallon of HR 1388! In it goes …

Thanx for the contribution and I will be tooling by your place again soon. You are never at a loss for posts and words!

Snow Knight

Thanx for your kindness and I am looking forward to seeing what you have up next! God Bless you as well!

Mrs. AL

Thought I'd let you know I've got a new post up. That soup looks about as tasty as menudo YUK! :)

Mrs. Always,

Wish you'd turn that soup down. we can smell it all the way up here in the hills of Tennessee. Whewwwwwwwww!!
