With all four candidates proclaiming that the markets have failed we can expect a pretty dismal future no matter which gang of statists wins.

This is 1932 redux - an incompetent Republican interventionist president has set the stage for twenty years of uninterrupted Democratic interventionism. Obama's presidency is now an absolute certainty. McCain should be McCain, i.e. "reach across the isle" now and surrender before he is humiliated with a devastating loss.

Republicans thought they could win by running a Democrat. Next time they'll probably try to run Hillary.

Our only hope is for the utter and complete destruction of the Republican party. We need to start over without the Bushes, the McCains, the Gingriches, and the rest of the "I pretend to like freedom but only so I can surrender later when more pork is offered to my district" gang.

If I hear one more Republican invertebrate say "I believe in the free market but..." I will vomit.
