This is an excellent article and facts that people need to consider voting day.

Right now we could be drilling for our own oil. Bush lifted the ban on drilling, but what has been done? Nothing. For months now we've been suffering high prices, not being able to travel, much less joy ride, and all this time we could have been drilling and we'd be that much further ahead.

But, no, the Congress dilly dallies while we burn.
Right now we're getting a small break at the pump, but not for long when OPEC raises its' prices as they are set to do.

I heard Obama say today the we Americans are going to have to suffer, turn the heat down, wear sweaters. Where have I heard that before? Carter anyone?

I get so mad about this I could scream. Hey can ya hear me scream all the way to NJ?

Congress and Obama keep saying that we can't drill our way out of this.

No one said we could. We do need a comprehensive plan, but drilling MUST be a part of it.

There are oil reserves in this country that are set up and ready to go and we could have oil from them within 1 to 3 years.

Pennsylvania, my state, is LOADED with coal. There is more coal in PA and WV than there is oil in Saudi Arabia. And we have the technology to efficiently and safely produce energy from it.

The need for oil isn't going away, so it's not like we're never going to use it again. And to quote a comedian, Daniel Tosh: "My SUV doesn't run on corn. Ethenol is a dream and a dumb one."

They don't want to know the facts about Obama, for instance, and won't listen if you try to tell them.
I came from Mass. originally and tell me why people in that state keep sending Kennedy and Frank and Kerry back to Congress. With the school systems and universities in that state there should be more educated people than uneducated! But they don't act like it!
And can't the people of San Francisco see the ignorance and idiocy of Nancy Pelosi??
Neal Boortz says there should be tests to see if people are smart enough to vote. :-)) (or something to that effect) and I am sometimes inclined to agree with him. Right now is one of those times!!

That seems to be the mantra coming from the Democrat Party. Unfortunately too many self-described "conservative" GOP legislators are on board. If they don't let the market work, it won't. Opening the market to new sensible energy sources will create jobs. Letting the market work will CREATE JOBS. Spending more money and sending out checks to people who don't pay taxes will kill jobs because ythey the Dems will tax the "rich" to pay for their new spending - Barney Frank just said so on DNC-TV. We need a revolution at the ballot box, people. If a revolution by ballot doesn't happen by 2010, we may not be able to stop the advance of socialism here.

Drilling is not the whole answer but it is a large part, right now. It will help to make us independent, and break our foreign dependence on oil. Then we need to start looking for new sources of energy that we can develop.

After all the information about Obama has been put out for public consumption. His own statements, Biden's statements, Association with people who truly hate America...after all this information has been put out for the voters and he still has almost half the polled voters is a sad commentary on the American people.

So we have Red Nan Peloski with several hundred thousand dollars invested in T-Bone Pickins natural gas and wind turbine scheme.

By playing up the need for alternative energy. And forbidding offshore drilling. Or any drilling for that matter. Thus keeping gasoline prices high. Then the big push for alternate energy and the people will demand that the government do "something!"

Well, Peloski and other Demobums are set up and ready to subsidize the Pickens scheme with tax payer money. They all stand to make billions on the backs of the American people.

Talk about Abuse of Power! They could care less about the people except to use them and their tax money.

They should all be prosecuted and hanged

Your exactly right! The Demo/Libs are flat lying to us! Several "Real" Oil men, you know, the guys that do the actual drilling. Have said on TV that they can drill anywhere inland and have a well "up and producing" within a year and a half! An added that they can and do work on more than one well at a time. And at many locations. IF ALLOWED too! Therein lies the source of the problem!

Our fine oil companies have the best technology and are the very best at what they do! They could have us out of this so-called "Energy Crisis" in a heart beat if the Demorats would allow them!

The GOP who remained and protested did not get much notice from the press, wonder why. The Dems want to control when we can leave our houses, drive, where we can go and how warm or cool our homes are. What kind of power trip are they on? Don`t get these control freaks. When fuel prices are too high, many people use public transportation and so we are held hostage to their schedules. Energy production in the US is a win-win! One of my favorite TV shows this past year was, Ice Road Truckers on the History channel. They trucked in all equipment on ice, the drillers drilled hit a natural gas pocket, capped it, broke everything down and trucked it all away before the ice thawed.

But yet the Dems are saying ten years? What are they going to be doing for the first nine and three quarter years?

Just the potential of a nuclear accident frightens people. Yes, Three Mile Island was handled well. It was contained. But when people think of nuclear accidents, they don't think of TMI; they think of Chernobyl. Doesn't matter that we've shown we are capable of preventing something like that. Yeah, to us they're as nutty as it gets. We know what we have. We treasure it because we know how easily it could all slip away. But you need to take a good look at that generation. They were born and grew up during a time of prosperity. The theories and opinions they picked up from their fine educations are no substitute for life experience. They follow whatever they hear that matches their current opinion with no thought of the potential consequences. They protest whatever they dislike with no appreciation of the freedom that allows them to do so.

Easy to do both when you consider everything you have as "just the way life is and always will be". They're a prime example of the "what happens elsewhere can not happen here" mentality.

But in spite of how much they need a rude awakening, I'm hoping they don't manage to put us in a situation where they get one. That is a learning experience that the rest of us really, really don't need to share.

If they are successful in getting a cartel together then manipulating the price becomes very easy as they would control 60% of the supply. OPEC only controls 40% and just look what they are able to do.

To make matters even worse T Boone Pickens and all the Dems are pushing natural gas. We will be up the creek without a paddle, if we are cut off.

We need to find our own supplies of fuel so we can't be held hostage. It is a National Security issue, if some other country decides to use energy as a weapon. What exactly would stop them from shutting off the supply?

Gunny, what Dawn is saying about Ovomit is right on. But what's really hard to digest is just how far down the intellectual level has fallen in our country!

It looks like at least half of the American people are willing to put this creature in the White House. With absolutely NO SECURITY CHECK! Unbelievable! All of us "plain folk" could not get a job in a high security factory if we had even ONE of the questionable things in our background that Ovomit does!

Plus he refuses to expose any of his past records whatsoever and may not even be a Natural Born citizen of the United States! There is a a law suit filed against him and the DNC where the Federal courts have demanded he provide a birth certificate within 30 days. Ovomit has ignored the demand and refuses to comply!

Yet there are those that will vote him in, or allow him in the Presidency, saying none of this means anything! It's just fear mongering! Yeah right!

And Pepp! Yes! I have been going to a clay workshop for about 3 months. Clay is so forgiving! I have done five pieces, but not truly "sculpture". Masks and plaques! The teacher has a collection of animal skulls and I chose the horse and the colt. I actually felt a spiritual connection to the skulls while I was laying the clay on. And they turned out great! You put the plastic over the skull and lay the clay over it, forming the eyes, mouth, etc. Of course, I will send Pepp some photos soon! Thanks for asking!

I also have read about the birth certificate. My understanding is that if one parent is a US citizen and is born outside the US, the child has dual citizenship until age 18. Don`t know if anything will come of this. Your point about security clearances is right on. I was a secretary at Boeing and when I applied for my clearance, they went all the way back to a fruit stand I had worked at as a teenager. The point is they can find you if they are looking!

Feeling onery! The suit about the Ovomit birth certificate is null now. The security clearance is another story. Does he have one yet? He is being briefed by the NSA, so they must have done something. He certainly has a lot of shady characters in his past and is an admitted (past) drug user.

Families are funny/wierd. I have often thought my family was nuts and then I compared them to other families. Do find it "odd" that the Ovomits did not make the trip to see Grandma Dunham together with their little girls. It`s none of my business but it just seems odd! Would have made a great photo op also. Really haven`t seen too much of Michelle Obidet recently! Hmmmm. Also read a comment on a blog that the campaign paid for the plane ride, security, etc. Of course, that`s ok! It`s for the One.
