McCain's Straight Lies and Greatest Generation Mythology

McCain's sophistry

As a businessman I utilize the language and tools of business. We set our metrics and quite necessarily our team members need benchmarks and timetables that manifest proper direction and achievement of each intermediate goal to keep everyone on track for overall success.

The terms metrics, benchmarks, and timetables are keywords in business that contain a positive denotation and connotation. The terms benchmarks and timetables as related to our government and the war against Jihadists carry a negative connotation and a connective relationship with liberal democrats. Gov. Romney's quoted comments were undoubtedly spoken in the business sense. The business of winning the war in Iraq.

Sen. McCain would have us believe that every use of the term benchmark or timetable is only used in the political context of agreement with liberals. A politician who cannot grasp the differentiation between a business usage and political keyword is either ignorant of the business meaning or guilty of blatant sophistry. Can he be that dense? I don’t think so.

Either way, what Sen. McCain engaged in is either disappointing or despicable.
