Comment on: For a Safe Israel

U.N. Blasted by Barry Farber

It is not self-sacrificing

to confiscate land, destroy water resources and farmland, and viciously attack and kill over 1,300 civilians in a 3 week time period as Israel did in Gaza last December.

This self-serving lie about Israel only attempts to remove Israel from accountability regardless of its actions. Israel is innocent only in the eyes of the Israeli gov't and its sponsor, the American gov't. The rest of the world knows that Israel, like everyone else in the world, is guilty of crimes--such as its treatments of the Palestinians. Palestinians who attack Israeli civilians are guilty of the same kind of crimes that the Israeli gov't is guilty of.

When one doesn't like the message, one can attack the messenger. That doesn't change the truth of the message. One should note that Goldstone himself is a Zionist.

Has Curt Day watched this video?

MUST WATCH

A short speech in the UN by a representative of the organization UN Watch:

When I get time

on the other computer I will. The computer I am using now has no audio.

Finally

I got a chance to watch the video. I disagreed with both who spoke. The person defending/representing Israel is wrong because the wrongs of others do not imply Israel is innocent. In fact, his assumption is that Israel is innocent--something not supported by fact.

The person who responded should have let the Israeli comments go without comment.

Some in the West want to point to the evils of others to whitewash their own sins and then claim there is a battle between good and evil and you must choose with whom you will stand. I think you will find that the claim that there is a battle between good and evil is only half right. Nationalism spurs us into battles between evil and evil. And the only escape is to stand on principle, rather than partisanship.
