In reply to Semper Libertas: Yes, the North Koreans could have used the 2 girls as human shields. I just think that God NEVER allows EVIL to confront us or tempt us without there being SOME way to overcome it and make it look foolish. I may not be smart enough to have found that way, and, now that the girls have been freed, it may not matter. One thought is that there were only TWO girls while there were HUNDREDS of targets. Sometimes a game of CHANCE is all we have (watch the old Maverick shows!). I am just struck with the similarities between modern hostage situations and the David v. Goliath episode in The Bible. Goliath had established a stalemate - reducing the entire Israelite army to a bunch of chickens. He taunted them and mocked their God. God provided the way out via a seventeen year old boy with a sling and a stone. This was no answer that ANY of the other guys would ever have conceived of!
