In a very strange way Israel chose me to live here, but that's another story. I find it ironic that as far as gimphood and health care go, Israel is by far the better place to live these days. It greatly saddens me. But there it is, none the less.
The things Obummer has planned for America are much scarier than anything the hizzbullies or Achmadinajar can do. That does give pause for thought.

Great article and one thing you pointed out which is so utterly frustrating is the continuing decline of Christian/Judaic foundations of this country being hammered away by secularists. At the same time Islam is being given a free pass to pray whenever they want even to the extent of schools having private prayer rooms for them. But forget a private room for a Christian or Jew to pray in. Oh, that's too much for the secularists and the ACLU.

The demise of our country from these actions will eventually turn us into an Islamic one or no religion at all. This is not what the Constitution says. We are supposed to be free to practice whatever religion we want.

Under Christianity, the death panels and other such sickening options would not be included especially euthanasia and abortion on demand. Already Catholic hospitals are talking about having to close if they are going to be forced to do abortions or heavily fined. The closing of these many hospitals will put rationing on us immediately. And the elders will be hit the hardest. There seems to be no respect for the elderly who fought wars, paid into the system all their lives, worked hard, did not have all the toys the younger people have. We had to sacrifice. Now we are literally being told to die and go away.
We older people are now worth nothing.

I'm glad your system works out so well. It seems with all the physical issues you have, you chose well for yourself without realizing it at the time you moved there. Now you get the care you need under the Jewish way of not turning people out due to age, sickness, mental illness, etc.

The tragedy of any new/remodeled health care system there is going to be directly caused by the abandonment of the Judeo Christian foundations the country was built on.
Even though we are moving in a somewhat similar direction, we are still grounded enough in our Jewish roots to shudder at the thought of with holding care from Granny. The minute we do that, we lose all legitimacy to be Israel-home land of the Jews.

Like I said, we've been working on our system for around 100 years. It ain't perfect, but it\s alot better than any of the others because we still value life.
It's also interesting to note that we are in the forefront of medical innovation, and medical technologies. Could that be because we still have respect for human life?
Sometimes we do run into glitches, but, get what we need in the end. I guess that's part of why they call it *practicing* medicine.

This health care debate is one thing. Our health care can be improved, but it doesn't need a total overhaul and government intervention. Health care should be a doctor and patient, no bureaucrats involved. And the pathetic thing is they won't take the health care themselves, but keep theirs.

This administration is making a mockery of all the moral values I was brought up to believe in. The un Judeo-Christianization of America has been going on ever since I can remember.
It really is past time it was stopped in it's tracks. Judeo Christian values are what made America great. The loss of them could very well hasten the end of that greatness.

Ever since the health care issue started to dominate the news, I wondered why no one was looking at what is quite possibly the only universal compulasry health insurance plan that actually does work. Then, I realized that that is the very reason. They are not interested in a system that works. They are only interested in one that controls.
The Israeli who was running around saying how wonderful our system is, doesn't bother with explaining why it works. He's just trying to make a point that there's nothing to be concerned about. Well, he's dead wrong. There is everything to concerned about.

Just think, when Obama really screws up the health care system here and drives the profits OUT of it, all of our Jewish doctors will head your way!

It won't be just the doctors. There are quite a few wealthy American Jews aleady looking into moving here, with their money.More good doctors would be a great blessing. G-d knows we need them. It's tiring to be teaching docs things they should already know. But that's another story.

Seems it's not enough that I've been in and out of hospitals for the past year and a half, now my computer is playing silly buggers. I think I just might have figured out the problem. Had to do all that for the docs too.
