It's the bottom line: Hallmark is counting on selling more same-sex "commitment cards" than the cards of all sorts they would have sold, but now won't, to anyone who will care enough to boycott them for doing this.

If enough of us boycott them and it turns out to be a money-losing decision for them and they still stick with it, then they will be revealed as putting a political/social engineering cause over profit.
