Disney Robin Hood stole from Prince John

One of my favorite Disney cartoons for my kids was Robin Hood, and my favorite line is from Friar Tuck, as they took money from the Prince's Treasury and loaded it up to give back to the people:
"Praise the Lord and pass the tax rebate!"
I don't know the classical story of Robin Hood, but in the Disney version, Prince John was imposing increasing taxes, sending the Sheriff to collect from everyone, and giving it all to the government. Robin intervened and helped get the money from the government back to the people.
In that story, Barry is no Robin Hood...he's Prince John!
