CHEER UP HOLLYWOOD WRITERS, JOHN EDWARDS IS ON THE WAY

So, am I....

...to understand the both David Geffen AND Jeffrey Katzenberg gave money to B. Hussein Obama and NOT to Mrs. Clinton??? I wonder if her feelings are hurt now.

I have never understood the grasp that liberals have on Hollywood. If this is a backlash to the blacklisting decades ago, I can only say, the liberals move very slowly. If not, then I can only think that it's the result of feeling guilty over having too much money. If so, why don't the elites in Hollywoodland give more?? Oh, the confusion....!!!

Geffen and Katzenberg

Thanks for your comment YGL. Actually, Geffen jumped ship from the Clinton camp after Bill backtracked on gays in the military, and Katzenberg followed his lead. A few months ago Geffen made waves by publicly discussing his endorsement of Obama. He said, "Everyone in politics lies, but they (the Clintons) do it with such ease it's troubling." Hillary's spokesman responded by pursposefully mischaracterizing Geffen as Obama's finance chair (Geffen hosted a fundraiser but has no official role in the campaign) and demanding that Obama condemn his supporter for expressing his opinion about Hillary.

Now, I have my own reasons for thinking that David Geffen is a disgusting and morally reprehensible indivdidual (and none of it has to do with his being gay). I won't even get into those reasons on this blog, but ask anyone in Hollywood about Geffen and they can tell you some stories. I will say that he got his first job at the William Morris Agency mail room by forging a recommendation letter from UCLA. So if a world of moral relativity, this man considers Hillary an untrustworthy liar, she really must be the lowest of the low.

So yes, the Dreamworks team has split their support. Although all three players, hosted a Obama fundraiser earlier in the year, Spielberg has endorsed Hillary, while Geffen and Katzenberg continue to support Obama.

Wholly cow!! I had NO IDEA Geffen was gay. When I work for the Musicland group, we used to get plenty of gossip and rumors about the recording industry, of which Geffen was part. Our regional manager had no respect for him either. His reasoning was never disclosed, but he hinted at certain policies Geffen circumvented to get where he is. Your post helps to explain it!

Makes you wonder just what Mrs. Clinton has done that is so beyond Mr. Geffen's moral compass.

YGL

Yes, Geffen is the most powerful openly gay person in Hollywood. He has many enemies in Hollywood, and not because he's gay. As for my issues with his personal life, let's just say their's an ever rotating stable of well-taken-care-of and well-drugged barely legal boys in LA known as "Geffen's boys." I won't go into detail, but think the Playboy Mansion with speedos and Cher music. I suspect Speilberg and Katzenberg learned the hard way to call before they come over!

That's a very graphic picture now engraved in my mind....I will now mentally rinse my eyes out with Clorox to remove the after-image...!!

Speedos and Cher....all that is missing are frozen daiquiris and a disco ball.

Ewwwww....

Geffen's Not the Only One . . .

. . . I seem to remember reading that BBC America chief Garth Ancier is likewise openly gay. I've been thinking about this often since his decision last year to cancel repeats of "Benny Hill" and other mainstays on that channel -- and replace them with shows (such as "Torchwood") that openly promote the liberal-left/homosexual agenda. I have to wonder if his decision to take the Hill show off the air was related in some way to his long history of pandering to the homosexual lobby (such as GLAAD) in terms of the programming decisions (and statements to the press) he's made over the years.

Oh, and B.T.W., would you know if Ancier is another financier of Obama's campaign?
