I think you're implying that the liberals want to take your guns - right? Well, guess who's gun that was I shot last year - a die-hard liberal. He and I also hunt, fish, drive big trucks and occasionally chew tobacco. He gives me sh*t about my support of the wall to keep illegal Mexicans out etc., but we're good friends.

BTW there are better guns made right here in the US.

Anyway, the idea of liberals, progressives or anyone trying to take your guns seems quite far fetched to me - not just because of my friends, but because of the constitution.

You are right about the Constitution. But that didn't stop Clinton from creating a ban on 19 models of firearm that were available. Also DC's interpretation that the right to keep and bear arms belongs to the "militia".

Clinton and Fenty are accurately labeled as "gun grabbing liberals" and that's too bad because it gives liberals like your friend a bad name.

For 760 words, you should try to get on the editorial pages as a columnist, and get paid cash money.

Letters to the editor should be in the neighborhood of 250 to 500 words. Short and sweet. And for "sweet", don't accuse the AP of bias. You can imply it if you want to, but don't say it. Not if you want to be published.

Stick to the facts, keep it short, and you might just get the message out.

Thanks for the advice Unca Alby, but I'm not looking to get it printed. I sent it to the AP to let them know that I see through their political agenda diguised as "news".
I also want to get it out to news outlets that carry it as Gospel. I don't care if they print it.
I did this as a way to lower my blood pressure.

I have known Keith for more than 25 years and yes he is a Liberal but he is and expert fly fisherman and a good shot, owns and shoots "glock" handgun.
