The 50th Post!

Congratulations!

50th Post! That's great. Love the cartoons and pictures.

The opera on Danny Pearl's ordeal looks pretty gruesome. Mushara's book says that Pearl's body was found in 10 pieces!

Thank you

for the kind words, Sandra. My how time flies!!!

50th Post, Beheadings and Jimmy Carter

Congrats on the 50th post! I see that I am not the only blog that Jimmy Carter seems to frequent, darn, I thought I had something special for an ex-president to visit my lowly blog...

Notice how quickly an artistic venue is shut down when Muslim's threaten violence or disagree with content. However, when Christ is depicted inurine or feces and Christian's object, the liberal establishment (including the MSM) rally around Free Speech! Christ is also depicted in the beheadings, but that didn't shut them down.

The 'cause celebre' for terrorists is in IRaq, however, when the libs, and Dimocrats get their wish and we pullout of Iraq too early, Europe may very well become the next battle field and cuause celebre. When that happens maybe, just maybe, the threat will be taken seriously. That was the point of the recently declassified NIE. the climate and demographics of Europe lend itself to terrorism.

Whew. Long winded on my part sorry. Again, congrats on your 50th post, I enjoy your posts.

No prob, Eric Jay, I prefer long comments. =)

Hotair.com posted a poll that was taken of Germans that showed the overwhelming majority disagreeing with the cancelling of the opera. There's a difference to having a free society where everyone is allowed to practice their cultural traditions and one where we live in fear of freely expressing ourselves. Which do we want to live in?

BTW it's not much of a story to tell, but I was within about two feet of Jimmy Carter a few years ago at a book signing. And he does look very old up close.
