Wow!
The observations and conclusions you listed are accurate. Thanks for having the courage to say it like it is.
The RNC will not get any of our money unless there is a TRue Solid conservative up for office. The only reason we gave to the McCain/Palin ticket was because Sarah was chosen as the VP nominee .
We need never be afraid of the Conservative message. No PC, No intimidaion, No Compromise.
good job!

TrueBlue: I request a recount for Duncan
I agree with the thrust of your concerns. Only a few days ago, I was indifferent. I knew only that the GOP had failed, and very likely that incredible event would threaten the foundations of the nation. I knew nothing about the candidates for the office.
I did know that Mr. Duncan had been responsible for returning the GOP to power in Kentucky after 36 years of defeat. I knew that he had been instrumental in the campaigns of Mitch O'Connell and Jim Bunning. As I began to develop a profile for each candidate, I realized that few had the experience to go into the RNC headquarters building and administer the monster problems that have been handed to Mr. Duncan.
Please read the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002; the 42 legally binding rules of the GOP National Committee and the very conservative platform. I began to see Duncan as an admirable lawyer; 35-year veteran of the conservative movement in the GOP; the man who has set a record in GOP national fundraising the only man in the Republican Party who can manage the GOP National Committe at this time. He also is the chairman who just won two conservative house seats in the wake of the McCain disaster. Duncan is the only person in the GOP or the Conservative Movement who can ramrod the lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the BCRA.

Some additional thoughts.
The GOP for some reason believed that the way to stay in power was to be like the Domocrats. As a result, as you noted, they embraced spending like a drunken sailor and abandoned all pretense of standing for conservative values, such as, smaller government, lower spending/taxes, a balanced budget, energy independence, secure borders, less government regulation, a common sense approach to environmental issues, etc.
I firmly believe that a third party is a good option. I am, personally, aligned with the Constitution Party, a truly conservative party.
Also, one thing you may not have considered that I believe is crucial is how voters make their decisions. I would suggest (this did not originate with me) that most voters do not sit down and analyse where they stand on the issues and then vote for the candidate who is most closely aligned with their views. Instead, I believe that most voters make their decisions based upon emotion. That is why Obama was so successful and accounts for why he was so insulated from any and all criticism even though it was often true. Many voters who supported Obama couldn't tell you where he stood on any particular issue and some didn't even know that Biden, not Palen, was his running mate. Others voted for him merely because he was Black.
Lastly, let me say that I stand with you in declaring that the GOP is out of touch and the current leadership does not understand why and, therefore, is in no position to fix the problem. Until they mend their ways, they will get no support from me, financially or otherwise.
