The Wisdom of a Barber

My nail salon girl is from Viet Nam, and we had much the same conversation. She had no trouble recognizing the code words and the seduction - she's seen it all before. She came here to find the American dream - she started this little business and wants to achieve success. She has learned English pretty quickly, too - and there's no bilingual efforts for Vietnamese here in Texas...only Spanish. (Don't get me started).
My good friend is from England. She voted in her first presidential election; she is a naturalized citizen. She and her husband voted for McCain for the same reasons. Obama would destroy the things about American they came here to find, and left England to get away from.
