America Loses

Unfortunately, there were plenty of unenlightened Republicans (and Democrats) who got us into this new Vietnam in the first place. This war is truly a march of folly as the research shows this has unfolded just as the war games predicted.

America did not fall into Communist hands after Vietnam and to think the terrorists will take over America if we left Iraq is insanity.

I think the US should have a very strong national DEFENSE. The problem is that the warmongers have switched to offense to tackle a country that contributed nothing to the 9/11 attacks that started this whole thing.

Our civilization is in more danger now, but not because a Democrat got elected as senator, but rather the scores of new terrorists and ill will this war has brought our country.

Victor, I feel sorry for you that you feel compelled to defend your vote for Brown. A better course of action would have been just not to vote for him. I continue to believe that he and his ilk will make us all sorry.

Comparing Islamist Jihadists to the Vietnamese Communists is folly in itself. Other than the fact that Saddam Hussein and his clan supported the suicide bombers of Jews in Israel and were commited to building weapons that would hurt Israel and the U.S., they were perfectly nice guys. The fact that they did not have an active role in 9/11 means little. We did not want another 9/11, maybe a 9/11 squared, before we stopped Saddam. Heck, he was already shooting at our planes when we were flying over under UN authority!

These people are coming over, buddy! And, please, when they're over here, don't tell me it was technically not Saddam himself because he was dangling from the end of a hangman's noose!

Wise up, a strong offense is the best defense!

So the Communists were not building weapons that could hurt their beighbors and America? I guess Reagan just wanted that whole "Star Wars" thing to spend tax dollars.
