McCain May Not be Alot of Things But He Does Know One Thing Best

McCain will lose huge against Dems
People think everyone else sees the World from the same frame of reference as themselves. Therefore they are not able to accept other points of view as valid. Moderates are just not able to see that conservatives see McCain as traitor to the core principles of conservatism. At least with a known enemy like the clintons you know where they stand. It is far more insultive for someone like McCain to try and sell conservatives that he is one of us when he has so openly betrayed some of the most basic tenants of conservatism in the past. True conservatives know that principles govern and will not compromise to support the lesser of two evils. If McCain wins the nomination, the conservative base will stay home and the dems will win in a landslide. The party is fractured and until the moderates figure out that you can not persuade principle centered individuals to compromise on core values in order to win votes, we will not be able to defeat the democratic machine. The McCain friendly media will turn on him in an instant in favor of which ever dem wins the nod and they will make him look reprehensible to the republican voters. Just look at his relationship with a former Mexican politcal office holder and you see an example of why he will be rejected by true conservatives. the dems have to be very happy. Things could not be better for them if they had scripted it. Until the party returns to the principles that made it great, we on the right can honestly say that the party left us and not the other way around.

I suggest both of us go back to what we wrote independently at the beginning of the year and perhaps one of us might revise our disposition on the ultimate winner of Election 2008. In addition, the blog I wrote then which you commented on and all my blogs since then contain the accuracy in content we both were striving for.
