One Fine Ride

Bikes, Yes!

I love them. I wouldn't own a Harley either all though I did see one at the dealer in Daytona It was first addition of a classic called the #1 I think. But it cost more than my last 3 cars.

I had a full dress Honda back in the old days (late 70's/80's). It was the last full size before mid year when they shorten the body's. Big Bates bags, full ferring, leggings and anything else a young Navy male could think of. I bought it from him when he was having money problems. Man did I love that bike. I also had a Honda low rider with all the trimmings. Those were the days.

One time when I had gone to Texas to visit I took the full dresser with me. At my sister's a guy that lived across the street from her was a member of the "Over the Hill gang". He used to laugh at my electic starter and carp it's not a Harley. I used to love telling him at least it runs. As he in his over weight glory was trying to kick his Harley in to trying to start. By the time I left he had an electic stater. One of his friends had a beautiful Indian. I don't think I ever saw him sober. He would pull up in the neighbors yard and just fall over. They would pick him up and take him in to sleep it off. Thank God he didn't drive a truck.

I do miss them though. What a great feeling.

Everytime I say "I think maybe I'll get another bike my family goes the lets put her away mode.

Actually in FL with the way these people drive I don't think I would have the nerve. I have seen some great tri's down here though.

Ahh, the good old days. Have you looked at the Aspenades? Nice.

Thanks for the memory's. Take care.
