A Tragic Case

Tragedy?
The loss of life for those so young is truly tragic but the reason this tragedy exists is because of the Mexican government and the privilidged class that forces this migration. This nation has used the guise of human rights to distance themselves from nations that practice the same things the Mexican government does to their citizens. You hear no cries from civil rights groups as Bush panders and placates any grievance issued by the Mexican Government; even to the extent of jailing border agents when their only crime was enforcing our laws. There are those that worry about offending our neighbor by placing a fence between us but they don't live near this border where the toothless inhabitants have their junk cars, cardboard shacks and deficate in your yard before cleaning up their own.
It wasn't long ago this country bailed out this nation when a bushel barrel of its currency couldn't buy a Big Mack and now we are expected to absorb their greed and demand for entitlements at the expense of our citizens health and welfare. I think not. God helps those that help themselves and that day will come when the Mexicans get the spine to do something about getting rid of the corruption and greed of the elite that has their foot on the neck of their citizens. Maybe a few more floating face down rotting and stinking in the brush on their bank will inspire their citizens to do something about their government as we need to do something about getting ours to listen to us!

Our Leaders Should Get Moving
I agree that the Mexican government is getting away with murder. The Mexican government has used our people the tax payers of this country as a cash cow for years. As I said before our leaders have not been intereted or willing to lead in this matter. I have been watching the news regarding those border agents and I like yourself can't believe how they have been treated. The President should give these brave men a pardon.
I support what ever we can do to close and control our boders including a fence. The death of any more people regardless of their dental problems or the condition of their vehicles seem to carry little weight with the governments on both sides of the river. The death of children or families will most likely have little impact on those on both sides of the fence who are calling the shots. Our borders have to be controlled or people on both sides will continue to suffer. It is sad to hear of U.S. citizens who live alone the border trying to earn a living and having to battle trespassers and drug dealers. It is just as sad to have to watch our men and women of the Border Patrol have to be politically correct while doing a dangerous job. The answer is for our leaders to listen to the phone calls, read the e mails, letters, faxes and for people to vote. I am aware of so many of our citizens who complain about our borders but will not vote or make a phone call. Many of these people are mad and angry but that is as far as it goes. If our leaders will not lead then it is up to us to double our efforts.
