EXCELLENT LETTER

This is really good, and thought out. You left no wriggle room for him! Excellent writing, Excellent post. If any one hasnt yet writtrn to their ZReps they should use this as a template!!

Drilling off Jersey Coast

Don't take any offense from this question - REMEMBER, I was born and raised a Joyzee Boy, even went to college in Joyzee City and I still love NJ. BUT why should your rep or other Pols there be against drilling off NJ for environmental reasons? We lived in Iselin, not far from Keansburg on the Shore. I can remember as a kid there was already oil on the beach and on other beaches LOLOL so whats the prob??? infact could sccoop it up and put on barrels no drilling needed :)

That is a great letter.

It needs to be sent to every Democrat and weak kneed Republican in the congress.

Kev You Would Be Surprised

The latest bullcrap I got from My Wonderfull Senatorial Types is are you ready for this, They are concerned about ERODING the Jersey Coast.

Thank you for your encouragement I do appreciate it.

oilpatch

Thanks you never know but at least I gave him a piece of whatever mind I have left.

Good letter; Good Girl !!!

Be sure to let us know if you get a response and what it says. (Enquiring minds need to know). Keep it up, Bear.

Bobbie

Thank You is that National Enquirerrrrr

Don't forget to

ask the oil companies why they are not drilling where they have leases to drill. And please realize that with nuclear power, it takes corporate welfare to build and the waste disposal is problematic.

Needless to say, windfarms should be built not just on the outside, but in the halls of Congress too.

Finally, global climate change is observable though it is more observable at the polar caps than in the temperate zones. In addition, we have parts of the ocean which have absorbed so much CO2 that it is changing the life there as well. Certainly we don't know a lot about global climate change and what to expect, but we know that changes are being made.

C5

The oil companies want to drill where there actually is OIL!

Bear

Wonderful letter. Well thought out and written. Having just lived through all of Andrews' Senate campaign commercials (I'm stationed north of Filthadelphia and am currently living in Bucks County), I thought he sounded almost reasonable. Of course, my youngest daughter's teddy bear is more reasonable than Lautenberg.

Crawfish

then they already have plenty of land on which to drill

Crawfish

Sounds like we are close to being neighbors. Is that interesting or disturbing for you? It is interesting for me. Perhaps during the next demonstration in the Philly area, if you and bear are counter demonstrators, perhaps we can get together.

C5

They have plenty of land, but if there's no good oil deposits on that land, then there's no reason to drill there! They want to drill where we KNOW there is oil.

As for neighborly political opposition...I'm surrounded by liberals, including two card-carrying members of the National Education Association. Ah ain't skeered. I simply point out how everything they support in their politicians is anti-Constitutional, and they basically state "so what?" We can still be friends and drink beer together. Heck, our disagreements over football are worse. I'm a Cowboys fan stuck in Illegals territory!

Crawfish

It is one thing to be a rabid card-carrying pro-war pro-Bush fascist. But you are a cowboys fan?!!!

BTW, I saw one your quarterbacks play in college. The very first college football game I went to was the 1963 Army-Navy game with Staubach playing for the then #2 Navy team.

C5

Quit insulting me by saying I'm pro-Bush. I only support him on 3 issues: The War of Islam vs The World (been going on for 1300 years), tax cuts, and judicial appointments. Other than those, he has been a Democrat.

My first pro games

the QB for Dallas was Craig Morton and the games were at the Cotton Bowl. Tom Dempsey was the kicker for the visiting Saints. The other visiting team was the Brownies.

Crawfish, Caday5 LMAO

Crawfish Thanks for you comments, I appreciate your assistance in keeping caday5 apprised of any new information concerning my pet passions which are factual or at least logical discussions with loony liberals which I know is true insanity on my part and any conservative issue I know I am correct on. Now watch I'll give it some time like 5 minutes before my dear friend caday5 gives me about 29 quotes with big words and existentialism that I need to read of course 5 million times and of course my reply and my thinking is always wrong. Someday I may be right and poor CD5 may implode.

Also I think it would be cool to have a Philly area gathering of Townhall Bloggers or counter demonstrations. We can have veggie, tofu wraps for the Lefty Libs and real stick to your ribs food for us Conservatives and practical thinkers

Conservabear

Don't you remember, I already said I like Fried Chicken or as I often refer to it as Chicken with Fiber. In any case, I am a plain eater with inclination to go vegetarian. Each time my peace group has its annual dinner, I go to KFC or arby's first.

Crawfish, I didn't mean to insult you regarding Bush. You will be glad to know that there are people on the left who do not regard Bush as a conservative. Chomsky calls him a "reactionary statist" (had to throw that in for bear). Anyway, I was just using hyperbole. BTW, I am no longer an eagles fan though I still hate the cowboys. When the fans cheered Michael Irvin's injury in Philly, I decided that was too much.

You covered it all.

I agree with the other comments. It's interesting that Obama and the Dems want to remove oil reserves from the SPR, which would only be about 3 day's worth. So they do realize that more oil will bring prices down...

Also, they want to punish oil companies for making profits. I heard today that Exxon made 11 billion in profits and paid 30 billion to the government. So should the government be punished for their profits from BIG oil?

Sandra, Thanks for Stopping By

You are correct maybe we should punish the Government for not only making profits, hoarding earmarked, unneccesary pork money but also for holding "We the American People" and "We The American Businesses" and We the "American Border Patrols" and "INS" and any other entity etc hostage and playing us one against the other like some elaborate, diabolically, dysfunctional chess game. Perhaps it is time to start sending them copies of our utility bills, gas receipts, paid or unpaid. I don't care. What Say You.

Sue, If You Can Boil Water, Then Again?

Only Kidding.

Where are you girl. Time to share recipes. Time to learn how to cook.

If I can you can.

Hey Sandra...

Good point...the govnt "profiting from big oil" tax money...they don't deserve a dime of it, IMO.

Conservabear/Sandra

Libs WANT higher prices, the extremist environmentalists demand that. Higher prices mean bad ole America cant drive and run factories 24 hr a day and have high standard of living which Libs can not stand. In itger wirds, there has never been an issue but that Dems are on the side that is bad for America

I say,

BIG Unions, BIG Labor, BIG liberal schools, BIG Trial lawyers, that is what is hurting America.

BIG oil, keeps our economy running. Let's "drill more and pay less" and make sure we sign Newt's petition.

Sandra

It seems that it is always someone else who is hurting America. Consider what the Bush Administration has done.

Sandra, Beware of Caday5 at The Door

He's all yours see if you can knock some sense into him, want to borrow my cane or maybe just hand him a Big Old Milk Bone that should keep him busy for a while

Conservabear

Why tell anyone to beware of me? I would rather caution people about making patriotism a religion and singing the Star Spangled Banner with the same reverence as they would sing a hymn.
