Big G is talking about Ron Paul. It was my intention to answer your question but I think he beat me to it. In fact Paul talks about this insanity our government is involved in all the time.

As for China, they have realized our economy is tanking, stopped buying our bonds, and started buying up Africa. Gold mines specifically. The Chinese are not stupid people. They have handed up a noose, watched us put it around our necks, and are watching (with much glee I'm sure) as our own government kicks the chair out from under us. I must admit, I don't understand it either. It simply defies logic.
