Freedom vs. the Income Tax

The Tarian

What's a Tarian.??. My dictionary doesn't recognize one. Too small a dictionary I suppose.

Listen, we have way too high a tax base/conscription system. No doubt about it. Why.??. Because we do too many things that aren't/shouldn't be needed, and because there is insufficient oversight.

Do we have to, out of pure necessity, pay some taxes.??. Yes, we do.??. Why.??. Because the nation requires among other things a national defense. Does it need anything else.??. Yes, it requires some management and the three branches of government. Do we need local taxes.??. Yes, because we need judges and police. Do we need other things.??. Yes, we have public education and highways. Do we need as many things as we have today.??. NO. Are taxes too high.??. YES.

So we must elect an "electable" person who not only says these things, but has demonstrated in the private as well as the public arena that they can and will get control of our spending as well as a whole lot of other things we all care about.

Who might that be.??. His name is Mitt Romney. I never gave him much thought until very recently upon visiting his site and spending about 12 to 15 hours listening to his public utterances. I was amazed to say the least. He has my vote. Mormon or not, Yankee or not, he has my vote, and I thought Duncan Hunter was the best candidate. I would still like to see Hunter on the ballot, but as V.P. Failing that I would like to see a balance candidate that would really spruce up the campaign like say, Alan Keyes a real conservative and black who would counter anything the demos throw at us, or it could be a conservative, attractive lady. The thing is winning, not being right. You try to do both. A good candidate with a win. Look at the consequences of not winning. Obama.??. Shilary.??. No thanks. I'll pass.
