Dirigible Down!

good one!

Lets get the independent conservative in there! And no doubt Palin's endorsement is a good thing. Eyes will definitely be on this election.

We Can Stop The Healthscare

Yes We Can!

Now THAT is a beatdown! HaHaHaha!

Allow me to remind you that Virginia is poised to send a message to the One tomorrow in the form of a sound thrashing at the polls, as Bob McDonnell puts an end to the 8 year democrat reign of terror in Richmond.

Secretary of State? I had no idea your ancestry included a distinguished world leader. I'm impressed. Particularly in the light of the rather lackluster performance of my own family over the last 400 years in Virginia.

I am the product of generations of drunken trouble making ne'er-do-wells, whose most prominent member rose to the exalted position of taverner.

But, tomorrow is T-Day! That giant gasbag, Newt, is burning on the ground and one begins to wonder who long before they disable the insulting comments on his blog. Palin manages to wash off some of the McAmnesty stink, Pawlenty shows up late, and Huckleberry is MIA.

The smell of tea is in the air and the message to RINOs is: Wake up! Time to die!

Great piece, Skep! Thanks a lot.

Sarge

The entire New Atlantis government were fueled by alcohol. But they never lost their Scruples. I remember my mother's opinion of the New Atlantis venture and it wasnt kind. Some people in those days thought that spending tons of money to dump rocks in the ocean was a waste of money. Now we call it Hope And Change. Dont worry about my exalted past, we can still hang out... on the internet.

Hey Skep,

I've been catching up by reading your last 3 posts, all of which should make you proud. Such a wordsmith you are. Loved Dirigible down and concur with every word. Thanks, Sir.

Skep

Fueled by alcohol? Isn't it strange how some of the best ideas, and most colossal failures, seem to come from that engine of invention. LOL!

My long time friend and mentor used to regale me with stories about his "crazy" uncle Mel who spent decades dumping money in the Caribbean. Of course, the laughter ended when he actually found the wreck of the Atocha and the billions of dollars in treasure.

Some dreams do come true, and some sink back beneath the waves.

Thanx Bobbie

I cant take all the credit. Barack Hussien Obama (ummm...ummm...ummm)has driven me insane with political rage. It makes one a better writer. Thanks Barry!

Atocha

I saw a documentary about that on the History Channel. I'm kind of reminded of that scene in Treasure of Sierra Madre when Bogart asks Walter Houston why gold is so valuable and Houston says its because you're getting the wages of all the guys who look for it and dont find it. Look at Lester Hemingway, he took his one big bonanza and dumped it in the ocean. 'Smart' people play it safe but they arent very good story material.

Skep

It was Hemingway, Ernest, not Lester, that made me think of my old friend Chester and by extension his uncle, Mel Fischer.

The Atocha Museum is in Key West near Ernest's house. In fairness, everything in Key West is close to everything else, but a tour of the museum tells you what the attraction is for treasure hunting.

That's a lot of 'scruples'!

Second Bobbie’s opinion...first class writing.

The Tea Parties and Townhall meetings were a shot across the GOP bow. NY23 is a bullet between the eyes.

Great piece, skep41!!

I enjoyed every paragraph.

I'm feeling good this morning!

McDonnell wins by an 18 point margin, Christie takes NJ, and Hoffman, as Maxwell Smart would say, "Missed it by THAT much"!

One more democrat doesn't mean much one way or the other but that had to scare the cr*p out of the RINOs! LOL!

Sarge

Lets see if this is enough to cripple health care. I hope that a million people show up Thursday to that Barbars Bachman, Mark Levin event on the Capitol steps. As far as the RINOs getting the message? They're liberals, which means their brains are unable to process data accurately.

I Wish Hooffman Had Won; But...

Conservatives did win. The RINO's like Newt now have a definite picture of what will happen if they run another Liberal.

EVERY CONSERVATIVE WILL VOTE AGAINST THE LIBERAL REPUBLICAN. Conservatives might not win the elected position; but Republicans will d*mn certain not win it either.

PS: Your father was secretary of state? Gee, my relatives were mostly Mississippi horse-thieves. I am impressed. (Also, Sgt Relic has me beat. My family has only been in this country since about 1740.)
