I believe Mr Watts would make a good running mate for the reasons you stated. However, Senator McCain needs someone strong on the economy. Not sure what Mr Watts experience is in that area.

His only weakness is a short time as a Congressman (just 8 years) but he has done a lot (such as business consulting and journalism) outside of congress that helps....I would absolutely support him, though the media would use the race thing to paint it as a token selection.
