Very well said Neal. I couldn’t help from hearing the words of Solomon ringing in my ears as I read your blog, which said, “Is there anything of which it may be said, "See, this is new"? It has already been in ancient times before us. There is no remembrance of former things, Nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come By those who will come after.” It really doesn't take an educated person to understand the reasons against homosexual marriage, but your apologetic is hard for those who are using the logic of desire driven humans. Your logic is from a source few can truly comprehend and therefore, sadly few will be able to accept the things which do not originate "under the sun". We as a nation, I am afraid are too far past accepting the guidance for surviving as a Nation from a source from, (shall I say the three letter word), “GOD”!
Maybe other ancient societies didn’t have social security, civil rights or other benefits that were restricted from homosexuals, but in the beginning, just like America they first resisted the acceptance of homosexuality into their societies and just like America they slowly accepted them only to witness the destruction of their families and then their Nations. We as Americans are just a few steps behind them.
