For the Record, re "Lipstick on a pig"

Please...

Chris, buddy, wake up and smell the coffee. Obama can’t talk about the issues; he has none. This is why he talks in one word sentences, change, hope, future. You expect me to believe that he and his writers preparing his talk for the teleprompter read that bit and it never occurred to them that some one might think he was referring to Mrs. Palin and take offence? Please….

Have to agree

I have to agree with Chris on this one. The press is screaming that the press and the Dems are discriminating in their questions and comments towards Palin because she is a woman. The repubs need to be careful not to fall into the same trap. We don't want to be seen as hiding behind Palins apron. We don't want the public feeling like they need to defend Obama. We don't want his name back in the headlines that the repubs have owned the last few weeks.

I especially agree

I saw the clip in Obama's speach in which he said lipstick on a pig. The man was talking about McCains economic policy, not Palin. So how any one could draw a conection is quite interesting. I may like McCain/Palin, and so it is that I say they need to be alot more careful, because no matter how they spin this it will get very messy if they don't drop it. I do think it is wise that neither McCain nor Palin has actually come out and given this rash of sensitivity credence, but creating a online video does just as much. Lets hope they are more carefull about defending Palin in the future.
