Welcome
I never intended to have a blog my self but I am long winded and if you go over 2000 chars you either need to chop it up or use a blog. But now that I have one, it is most enjoyable, but unlike you I have a lot of time.
I to went through the 60's a little to the left, but mostly as an observer, I was busy in school and the Engineering course was quite demanding. I went from voting for McGovern in 72 to where I am today, what real conservatives call a Neo-Conservative, I guess that is accurate. I am interested in what you may have to say but understanding these radical left wing types isn’t very hard, we use to call them pinkos meaning they were really communist but they lived here so they couldn’t fulfill there dream so not quite red. Anything that takes power from the people and gives it to the government they are for, but they put it in the form of socialism.
I give you high marks for getting involved with little time, something I never did. I was always too busy working to get involved in politics, except on a very superficial level, retired now, just looking for things to keep myself occupied and getting the right next President is a very worthy endeavor. It sounds like you don’t have much time for reading but you might find World War IV interesting, he has taken a similar trip as you and I and seems to understand the different political factions as well as anyone that I have read.
You might want to drop by my little blog from time to time. Just click on my Handle above, you might not have known that it isn’t very obvious.
Thanks,
Barry
