I was not a Thompson fan, because I figured he could never win without any charisma or with his totally lack of enthusiasm and no fire going under his seat. Naturally if he had won, I would have backed him all the way, just as I am backing John McCain all the way right now, even though he is, at best, a compromise.
Thompson was a true conservative. He wasn't afraid of saying what he thought was true even though it may not have been politically acceptable at the time. This is why a RINO like John McCain has won. This is why a RINO like John McCain will win in November. Because the Liberals our there who are not progressive enough to embrace Mr. Socialist Obama, will vote for him.
